Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
The schedule won’t be known until a couple weeks after draft but here’s our opponents for 2026:
Home Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Atlanta Falcons Cincinnati Bengals Houston Texans Indianapolis Colts Los Angeles Rams Seattle Seahawks Away Dallas Cowboys New York Giants Philadelphia Eagles Arizona Cardinals Jacksonville Jaguars Minnesota Vikings San Francisco 49ers Tennessee Titans |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Hopefully, AP constructs a team to handle that.
|
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Not a bad schedule…rams Seattle and Houston, rather play here than on the road.
San Fran and Minny are tough away games Not too shabby |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Will need to take care of business in the division, first and foremost. We swept the Giants, got swept by the Pukes, and split with the Eagles. Got to do better than 3-3 in the division. Impossible to know what these teams will look like next fall, but the Titans, Giants, and Cards look like they have a way to go.

San Fran and Minny are tough away games Not too shabby
Minus not traveling theres once again no benefit to playing at home. Hope that changes but my hopes are less than 20% on the topic. There was a similar post on reddit I responded to echoing a similar sentiment. We'll see |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
If I made the 26 schedule:
Week 1: @Titans Week 2: Texans Week 3: @Cards Week 4: Cowboys on SNF Week 5: Colts in London Week 6: Bye Week 7: Giants Week 8: @ Eagles Week 9: @Vikings Week 10: Bengals on MNF Week 11: @Jaguars Week 12: Falcons Week 13: Eagles Week 14: Seahawks on TNF Week 15: @49ers Week 16: @Giants Week 17: Rams Week 18: @Cowboys 3 primetime games seems right. I also expect an international game again. I have some of our stronger matchups in the 2nd half; in case nfl wants to flex our games. |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Not an easy opponent list, but no team really has one anymore. I expect the Giants to be improved also. Harbaugh and a healthy Dart/Skattebo should have them better, and it honestly seems about time they've had a stroke of good luck. Huge year for Commanders and especially Quinn/JD5.
|
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
The schedule will be released after the draft in early May.
I expect the East to be a dogfight between all 4 teams. Whichever East teams make the playoffs, will have earned it. |

We should be improved and hopefully have JD5 for the entire season. Have to upgrade defense. Cowboys will still have a potent offense and Dak brings it during the regular season. Will be fun. Eager to get going on FA and draft. |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Just had the news we are confirmed to play at Tottenham, London this year. I'm praying Terry and JD will be on the field this time and not like when I went to Madrid last year!

Need both to stay healthy this year desperately.

Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Who do you think we will play? It will be from one of the 9 home games. I saw Colts.
On another board, there was discussion we could get a second London game but as the road team facing the Jaguars. Back to back overseas games. Think they did that last year with one team. |

Don't think we'll get 2 games in London as Jax are already playing twice in London but wouldn't completely rule it out of course. |

Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Oct.4 looks to be our game in London. Jags have a game there the following week. Wouldn’t surprise me if we play our game and then the Jags the following week.
|
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Why not this game:
Seahawks at Commanders in London? The defending SuperBowl champs play us in London. London would get a killer game vs the usual. I’m still hoping for back to back London games. We’re host for the 1st one and then play the Jags for second one. Tomorrow morning the international games will be announced and the full nfl schedule on Thursday. |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
I am going to go to the London game; my son starts graduate school in London this fall, and we're using that as a an excuse to do this. Should be awesome.

Fantastic! Hopefully see you there. I don't live in London but whereabouts will your son be studying? |

That is brilliant, what a great achievement and fantastic opportunity for him. Very best of luck to him.
Great that you get the chance to visit and tie it in with the game |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
We are playing Colts in London, likely on 10/4.
No back to back London games as Eagles are playing Jags the next week in London. |

Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Congrats Calia! Enjoy the London game.
Regarding the schedule, I frankly don't care about this with a few exceptions: I hate Christmas and Christmas eve games, should not do this. I dislike the idea of Wed night games, bad for teams, Thurs night is bad enough for teams, I'd prefer they move it to Fri for the sake of the teams and viewers staying up late. I would love Mon night to be 30 to 60 mins earlier. Not a fan of 3 NFL games per day, ever, unless it is playoffs. Too much. I don't understand losing a home game to overseas, not fair to fanbase. They don't know crap, why not send them our final preseason game? There is a large 2 week gap after that and they won't know the difference |

Thu:11/12- We play at Giants on 11/12 on TNF. |

Another leak has us hosting the Eagles on SNF on 11/1.

Leaks are getting annoying just release the full thing already
|
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
^^^ this. lol.
And i also started pricing out the trip to London to maybe see the game but man.... flights are expensive and I can't imagine what tickets would go for. Lodging would be the cheapest of the adventure but youre probably still talking over 2k by the time you leave lol. I'm already due in London for a wedding like fall of 2027 gotta just make the most of that trip i suppose. Happy for anyone who makes it to this thing and bravo for being able to afford it haha |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
More of schedule has leaked. Here’s a killer start?
@Eagles, @ Boys, Seahawks then the London game with Colts. Dan better have this team ready and play more in preseason; so they don’t start sluggish. We could easily start 0-3. |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Preseason:
W1: Dolphins W2: At Lions W3: At Ravens Regular Season : W1- 9/13: @ Eagles W2- 9/20: @ Cowboys W3- 9/27: Seahawks W4- 10/4: Colts (@ London) W5- 10/11: Giants W6- 10/19: @ 49ers- MNF W7- 10/25: Bye W8- 11/1:Eagles- SNF W9: 11/8: Rams W10- 11/12: @ Giants- TNF W11- 11/23: Bengals- MNF W12- 11/29: @ Cardinals W13- 12/6: @ Titans W14- 12/13: Texans W15- 12/20: Falcons W16- 12/26: Vikings W17- 1/02: @ Jaguars W18- TBD: Cowboys |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
0-3 start should go over well
|
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
My early 26 prediction:
W1- 9/13: @ Eagles — Loss: 0-1 W2- 9/20: @ Cowboys — Loss: 0-2 W3- 9/27: Seahawks — Win: 1-2 W4- 10/4: Colts (@ London) — Win: 2-2 W5- 10/11: Giants — Win: 3-2 W6- 10/19: @ 49ers- MNF — Loss: 3-3 W7- 10/25: Bye W8- 11/1:Eagles- SNF — Win: 4-3 W9: 11/8: Rams — Loss: 4-4 W10- 11/12: @ Giants- TNF — Loss: 4-5 W11- 11/23: Bengals- MNF — Win: 5-5 W12- 11/29: @ Cardinals — Win: 6-5 W13- 12/6: @ Titans — Win: 7-5 W14- 12/13: Texans — Win: 8-5 W15- 12/20: Falcons — Win: 9-5 W16- 12/26: Vikings — Win: 10–5 W17- 1/02: @ Jaguars — Loss: 10-6 W18- TBD: Cowboys — Win: 11-6 Sluggish start but as schedule eases, we finish strong and get a wild card spot: probably 5th or 6th seed. |
Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
Wow the first half of the season is brutal.
If we get through it with a .500 record we should be ecstatic because of the second half. |
Wow the first half of the season is brutal.

Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
That start is tough, we will not be favored in the first 3 games, in fact, odds makers may have us at 2-6 after 8.
Not trying to be a downer after the off season hype but here are a few facts. Last 12 games went 2-10 Same head coach New first time defensive coordinator New first time offensive coordinator Young QB being asked to go under center for the first time Lost key knowledge vets, some ex pro bowlers, captain MLB, TE, WR2, CB Mass turnover on defense. Unaddressed Gap at WR2, CB2 Kicker unstable Yes, our squad likely got better on D front 7, but unlikely to be better than average than horrendous with questions at corner. In my view, it is far more likely we go 7-10 than 10-7 with the squad we currently have (and coaching situation) Even if we pick up a WR, if it is a late add, it will be hard to have an impact in those first 3 games. I mean, we really need to beat Dallas to be 1-2 at least. 0-3 would be hard to dig out of, even though it is the most likely based on who would likely be favored. Of course none of us know what our team will look like with totally different offensive and defensive schemes, defense will improve, I mean it can't get worse, but matching kingsburys offense by a rookie OC is a tall order. Seeing Jayden under center will be interesting. There is usually a learning curve of a full year. Fake handoffs is a nuanced thing, turning your back to your receivers can thow off timing too. So although it may help Sinnot, it could take a while for Jayden to get it. It is the worst time to change your center. Still scratching my head there. It would be normal to have the team synch with new coaches and schemes, and play action halfway through. If we can somehow be 4-4 by stealing a couple games, we will be in good shape for sure. 2-6 is more likely though. I don't have massive confidence in a head coach that goes from 12-5 to 5-12 in one year regardless of injuries. The best coaches win half during disasters, ours apparently cannot, but he can fire his coordinators easily enough. If we get Diggs now, we can win one of those first 3, in Dallas! Go get him! |
Re: Commanders 2026 Opponents/Schedule
There is a great advantage here with the tough start.
Hopefully it opens eyes and causes the team to have a much more serious camp and preseason effort to be more aggressive knowing they are gunna start day 1 playing playoff football. We haven't started on fire yet with this coaching staff. Slow starts in games too. This cannot happen. They Must so something significantly different in preparation here. This schedule could be the kick in the pants we need to start FAST! |
