2026 Commanders Training Camp
Has begun. Allegretti suffered some sort of injury today. Undisclosed what type. Hopefully nothing significant. Reportedly, receivers impressed today especially Williams. Burks and Dyami too and Brown was the 1st one to practice. Baptiste looked sharp rushing the passer. Defense needs to be way better. Injuries were horrible last season. Nice to have football back even if only camp.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
I can’t wait for this to get rolling. We are going to surprise some folks this year. Week one: WAS 31 PHI 16. You heard it here first.
Saw some of the videos today - Williams, Burks and Brown had some very nice catches. Bill looks bigger without losing a step (not full pads of course). JD5 had a few nice darts too. Sounds like Oweh is the real deal too. Excited about this group. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Great article on Daronte Jones:

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Bill reportedly has "juice" and is explosive. Has a legit, real 2nd gear. I would not sleep on Kaytron Allen at all. Think this could be a good 1-2 punch. I think people will be surprised how improved the defense is. Need Trey Amos back asap which he should be.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Treylon Burks already hurt.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Video of Styles is impressive. I can’t wait for his first sack on Hurts week 1. Should have a sign that says “It’s Always Sonny in Philadelphia.” I think this guy is going to be outstanding for us.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
I still think we need another #2 receiver.
I do expect Antonio Williams to eventually start. I mean we are only a couple of days in but his ability to create space makes him different than anyone else other than Terry. Burks shines it tight windows like the red zone they have been practicing, that is his specialty, so that's a good sign, but what about the other 80 yards. It would just help Jayden to not have to throw into tight coverage so much. Putting so much on Chig is limiting. Alligretri is just a calf strain, Burks is a foot, both minor. I am worried about the Center drop-off, not so much Burks. Rasul Douglas is one to watch with a pick six today. I believe he is at least as good as Mikey and maybe better. Oweh is making his presence known. Jayden off a bit, but that could be due to being under center, plus a backup too. It is a new role for him, so this will be good to watch. Under center, timing is critical, which is why quick separation is so key. Either that or awesome body positioning. Frankly, its only 2 days, all short passes, so Burks should shine and Williams and the RBs. I know Bill and White made nice catches, but Bill fumbled, gotta stop that. Chig caught some, dropped some. 2 days in tells nothing other than, can a new offense score against a new defense, the answer is yes. Nicki Jaballa said in a tweet her assessment was a gif of Stefon Diggs for what it is worth. I do feel much better about defensive speed and the late add of Rasul Douglas to CB. Id love to see a better backup/starting center and maybe a Diggs type. No clue on safety gaps yet as its all been goal line. Would love to see deep throws to Brown and Lane develop. Brown did catch a toe toapper btw, so all the WR's are showing up, just minimal separation. Frankly, no real suprises |

His body is not built for the rigors of the NFL. He is ALWAYS hurt. Like ALWAYS... |

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Sinnott on the radio says he loves the new offense and thinks he'll have real opportunities now. Interesting. Will be different seeing JD5 under center a lot more. I like him in shotgun more with his skillset but will be open minded.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Deebo is back on the menu boys! I figured they would eventually pick him up after the other options didn't pan out.

It's interesting to see that Deebo wasn't even an option for us this summer. https://x.com/john_keim/status/2082999952771297461 |

There's a lot of noise about Diggs being signed but not even semi-official news. Just a lot of 'insiders' saying it's imminent. I actually expect them to sign him but maybe not for another week or 2. It kinda feels inevitable but not imminent. |

I heard that interview as well and got a bit intrigued. Then I read he had 2 drops in the next practice. |
I heard that interview as well and got a bit intrigued. Then I read he had 2 drops in the next practice.
I'd like to see him get a real chance. Reps are going to be tough to take away from Chig and Bates though. He clearly has talent but this definitely isn't the Big XII he's in anymore.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
From what I gathered today:
1) Styles appears beastly especially against the run. Cannot coach this kid's physical attributes which very few have. Special talent. 2) Chaisson also appears beastly as well. Very physical. Loved this signing also. 3) Yankoff making plays. Doubt he contributes this year of note but he reportedly looks sharp so far and makes catches. 4) Antonio Williams looks impressive. Shifty and moves very well. Could be good. HTTC! |

Fuck. Tunsil tore a triceps today and will need surgery and will be out many months. That’s a horrible break.

2026 Commanders Training Camp
Maybe, by the grace of God, Coleman and Wylie can hold down the fort and Tunsil has an amazing recovery and is back by like week 10. Im not gonna give up on the season, but this is fucking pretty much worst case scenario.
Do we trade picks for Dion Dawkins? Broderick Jones in Pitt could be a cheaper option. |

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Losing LT is a back breaking type of injury. He is the one guy on the line we can't afford to lose. That's like a 4-6 month injury so there is a chance we don't see him again until next year. Just brutal.
|
Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
LT and no center ; O line just became the weakest link with a fragile QB
I love when the initial report is always no big deal just a stinger etc etc , then 3 hours later career ending . That shit went on all last year with jd5 and his injuries |
Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
I wouldn’t call the season over. We could sign Decker, or move Coleman to LT. It’s 10th day of training camp, and while injuries suck, it’s football. Let’s have some optimism.
|
Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
It's a crushing blow. Everything was going too well wasn't it
|
Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
San Fran had injuries left and right last year but overcame and made playoffs and won a playoff game.
If our coaches are worth a damn, they’ll find a way around this. Minimum expectation is still at least a 9-8 record. DQ can’t do that, what’s the point of him. Playoffs might be out the window now but at least a winning season.6 |

The situation sucks, but at least we have time to respond. I thought that this is why we keep drafting tackles that we try to turn into guards, anyway … ? |

Sign Decker and have Coleman available too. |

Yeah im not interested in doing so, but it is an option and a better one than not protecting 5 I think. I hate that we are even having this conversation. |
Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Sign Decker and have Coleman available too.
This. Decker asked for a release after Detroit asked him to take a paycut. Just sign him to bolster the tackle position. Former 1st rounder and pro bowler. 32 years old. Cannot leave this position to chance.

Re: 2026 Commanders Training Camp
Brandon Coleman was our starting LT when we went to the championship game two years ago, maybe the sky isn’t falling.
Brandon Coleman was our starting LT when we went to the championship game two years ago, maybe the sky isn’t falling.
It would be awesome if he could lock it down. LT is such a vital position, and Tunsil is one of the best. Hoping there is some type of solution and the oline holds up. Would love to see Coleman make it work.
