From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

The only real battles are LB and WR. However I think WR is becoming clearer.

Rb- Portis, Betts, Nemo
Wr- Patten, Moss, Thrash, Jacobs, Tyson (I truly think McCants will not make it)
Qb- Ramsay, Brunnel, Campbell
C- Rabach, Raymer
G- Dockery, Thomas, Friedman, Brown
T- Jensen, Samuels, Molinaro, Wilson
Te- Royal, Baber
Hb- Cooley, Sellers

total Offense 25

Kor/pr- Brown
K- Hall
P- Tupa
Snapper- Albright

total Special Teams 4

De- Philips, Wynn, Warner, Evans
Dt- Griffin, Salavea, Boschetti, Jones
Lb- Washington, Arrington, Marshall, Holdeman, Clemons, Smith
Cb- Springs, Harris, Rogers, Wilds
S- Clark, Taylor, Bowen, Prioleau, Stoutmier

total Defense 23

practice Squad

Killings, Mccune, Newberry, White, N. Clemons

Warpathers say you????

Looks like a pretty fair assesment to me. For some reason though, I think they'll find a way for McCants to stay on the team. I would think they would have cut him by now.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I also think McCants is gone (good riddance). I think Rock is gone. I think either Friedman or Raymer is gone. I think there's a chance either Wilson or Molinaro is gone. I don't like Baber's chances, I think they'd keep Sellers over him. I think they keep Noble over that Jones guy. I think Manuel White stays.

LBs, I'd keep Arrington, Washington, Marshall, Holdman, C Clemons, and McCune. Probably Smith too.

PS Rosters get 53 guys, not 52.

Philips = Daniels

I get confused w/ names like that too.

Remember Stanley Richards?

I think they're allowed 8 on the practice squad now, too.

Thanks for the update CPA & Schneed. I did omit Noble, he should have been included, that will be my 53!

I think McCants and Rock will make it, just don't know where to put them!

Rock will make it over Nemo... All Nemo has is size but he fumbles in clutch times Nemo is practice squad. he needs a year to develop futher

No way. If either makes it, it will be Nemo. If either are put on the practice squad, somebody's gonna pick them up for sure.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I agree with Cpayne. Nemo is just a rookie and already looks like the best short yardage back we've had in years. They arent competing to be the backup RB, they are competing to be the short yardage back. I think Nemo has it in the bag already.

No way in hell. The way Nemo has run guys over so far, he's the only guy on our roster capable of giving us a big bruising option for goalline situations.

Rock is tiny. He's less than 220 lbs now. Betts is bigger. If Rock makes it he'll be there for special teams only.

I can't see Rock making it over Nemo.

Nemo has really been impressive and the coaches have raved about him.

Noble is not getting cut & you heard it from me here. I can not see them cutting the tree-man!

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

erm, i doubt they would cut noble after the way he has really tried to come back through his injuries. He helps with the rotation between him and salave'a. all three dt's are virtual locks to make the squad.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

If you check post #7, Noble was an inadvertent omission.

i was replying to the guy who posted above me. i didn't look at post #7. either way, oh well.

I think both Nemo and Rock will make it if for nothing else than ST guys!

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

Manuel White is a fourth-rounder--I very much doubt he doesn't get a shot on the squad.

Also, not sure we take that many O-linemen--maybe Wilson is gone, and we take another WR, TE, or DB. Or maybe McCune gets on for specials?

Can we practice-squad Wilson?

One thing people forget in 03 he was 9of13 in shortyardage and thats pretty good average. Last year I think he got lost in the mix of things and did not get the chances he earned in 2003.

does no one else think that 4 CBs is really low? We will have four on the field at one time or another. We'll have alteast 6 CBs.

I agree that 4 is too low a number

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I wouldnt be surprised if Warrick Holdman gets cut. You definitly wouldnt expect it but thats my surprise cut. I think he was brought on to move to middle and be a started, but I dotn think hes performed the way many had hoped, and the new guys have out performed expectations.

That Guy 08-24-2005 06:29 PM

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

holdman is starting quality and i think a key reserve, he's also done MLB he's i think he's too valuable to let go of right now...

we COULD practice squad wilson (after 2 years on an active roster for more than 6-9 games (forget exactly) PS is no longer an option)... the problem with putting wilson on the PS though is that ANY team could take him from us at any time, AND i doubt he'd agree to it since i think the PS pays less than his current rookie contract.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

Man, at the rate injuries occur, it really makes the 53 man roster look too small. I know every team is in the same boat, but I would love to be able to keep more of these guys. I agree with many guys here and would like to keep 6 corners, keep both Nemo AND Rock, and have more depth on the D line. Hard to do all of this with only a 53 man roster.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I think Noble may get caught in the "numbers game"....although I would love to see him make the team. He's a Redskin for sure. I haven't heard anyone mention
Khary Cambell/LB? What's up with him?

As far as Dyson v. McCants. Dyson has had a better preseason, so I don't know how they make room for McCants at this point.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

i think Holdman will stay, he is a good backup for Lavar. I think Lemar Marshall has pretty much locked up the MLB spot, and i'm not sure about the wr battle.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I don't see Noble getting cut, that would bump Boschetti up to the #2 DT and even though he's played well this preseason, that would really thin out our depth at that position.

salave'a is #2, griffin #1, so boschetti would be #3

How could I forget about big Joe?!

Either way, I think cutting Noble would thin out our depth too much.

Griffin is an every down type of player, but Salave'a, Noble and Boschetti are all better suited in a rotation.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I think what all of you are forgeting about nemo is that he's bruising 2nd and 3rd stringers not starting #1 d's, while rock actually did it during the season, and rarely fumbled

MTK 08-26-2005 09:07 AM

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I think what may be forgotten is the way we struggled with short yardage last year.

Nemo at 255 pounds was drafted with improving in that area in mind.

I love Rock, the guy has heart, but he's just not the pile pusher that Nemo can be.

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

I like Nemo out of the backfield...he has pretty good hands so far.

That Guy 08-27-2005 10:05 AM

Re: From the 2 games I have seen here are my 52

nemo also has 3 fumbles in about 3 quarters of play (the TD one didn't count, but it was too close).
