Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Who was the defensive MVP?
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
taylor bc he made that big play even after giving up a big one. he showed up when it counted and wasn't down after a mistake.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Other. This team didn't have one MVP last night. Everyone brought their A-game and even though Harris and Taylor had some moments of idiocy they also made up for it with big time plasy when we needed them. The REAL MVP is the D coaching staff. Their schemes are ridiculous good. Even with zero pressure from the front 4 they kept a veteran QB and a good RB in check most fo the night. That is admirable.

Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
MVP goes to the team total contribution.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
MVP - marcus washington for being the leader, and for shutting down Jason Witten (who has burned us in the past).
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Walt Harris probably had his best game as a Redskin, so I voted for him. He was all over the field and made some good open field tackles.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I said Washington because he was all over the field and even when it looked over, he was still hitting people and dancing around like it wasn't over...and we know the rest, it wasn't over!
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
whole defense. i've never seen a unit cover each other's weaknesses so well (lack of pass rush, polished 3rd CB), they're so solid where do you attack??
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I went with Harris because he's done such a great job so far this year and has really answered any questions we may have had about him.
He's a lot more physical than I thought he was and he's a sure tackler in the open field. Sounds like a Gregg Williams corner to me! |
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
walt harris. he stopped 2 screens before they were able to get started, played some good coverage, and made the crucial tackle just short of the first down on 4th down. i mean, if he doesnt bring him down immediately its a first...
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Well Taylor got burned once, but that stick at the end really saved the game. I'll give it to him.

you're right, that was on him on 4th down wasn't he? he did bring down his guy all game last night, and with no forward progress ever. don't see that from many corners, remember the useless "i slowed him down coach" Champ arm tackle? |
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I voted washington, because of the consistancy. The other 2 guys made some key plays, but gave up some key plays too. Harris just had a couple of costly penalties, or he'd get my vote.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
ST probably saved the game with that vicious hit (Crayton had the first down).......so I gave it to him. A simple tackle there and we might lose that game 16-14.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Washinton and Harris had a hell of a game!!!! And Taylor was real close!!! Great D very hard to take just one!!!
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I chose Marcus Washington....CONSISTENCY...my hubby (boys fan) even had to ask ...."WHO IS THAT CAT, He's EVERYWHERE!"
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Sean taylor because ... he saved the game! Without him the Cowboys would have had another set of downs and probably would have made it to close to comfort.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
i think the d coaching staff deserves it, i was disappointed because we didn't get any sacks, or turnovers, especially on a statue like bledsoe.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
harris and washington both played better than taylor (harris was the best by a slight margin) but taylor saved the game for us in the end. Had he not unloaded, they would have had the first down and only need 5-7 yds to get into FG range to win the game.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Dallarse D for choking? I'm just saying.......
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
Ade Jimoh!!! Game Winning Tackle!
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I can't choose because they all did great as a team. They all played great as one complete unit.
I can't say one person stands out more than another. It was a team effort. |
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
:biggthump walt harris is impressive
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
where the hell is LAVAR we need him bad hope he is 100% by seahaws
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
i wish him the best :biggthump nothing like seeing 56 out there on 3rd down
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I'm going to be Williams-esque and go with the entire unit. The entire unit played well. Despite the ZERO sacks, they (along with Brunell and Moss) won the game for us.
|
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
TAYLOR made a big hit but was burned couple of times
HARRIS SHOULD BE FOR THE EFFORT |
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I voted for Washington, but i do have to give it to the WHOLE D, but Washingon got my vote cause every time i looked away from the tv and looked back, there was Washington with his head bobbleing around.
Let me know where to find a Washington bobble head doll for my truck haha. |
Re: Skins-Cowboys: Defensive MVP
I'm still a Sean Taylor fan

Taylor is the man. I don't know if he was the MVP but he is a manchild. |
