Skins vs Hawks Predictions
OK, I am not going to have access to a computer after today until Friday so I wanted to get my prediction in for this weekend.
Skins, will start sluggish, but the D will prevail once again and the 12th man will be rocking. Skins 20-17. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Proving once again that it's never too early to 'Think of a number'.
Redskins 21 - Seahags 9 |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
I really like the Skins in this one. I think this a game we need to win, at 2-0 and going into week 4 theres not to many "must wins" but I really think this is one we have to have. The Seahawks dont play well away from home, and you saw what happened when they played a good defense in week 1 against Jacksonville, and I think we should shut them down.
Hopefully we work Portis well, and I think hes going to have a good game and the offense will finally open things up a bit. I like the Skins 24-14. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
I had a dream the other night that the Redskins won 44-14.
Then I woke up and saw them pulling off a 20-10 victory |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
did anyone see their game sunday? how well was their offense clicking against ARI?
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Redskins 35, Seahawks 10 in our FIRST offensive blowout of the year. In front of a home crowd, Gibbs finally mixes it up and gets people to respect our passing game.
|
did anyone see their game sunday? how well was their offense clicking against ARI?
Their offense wasn't clicking so much as Alexander was clicking. He was just insane against them. I'm not too worried about any running back against our defense. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
17-10.......Seahawks....I know they play bad on the east coast, but we still have too much to overcome offensively to beat them.
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Seahawks are a flat out bad road team.
I see the Skins winning ugly 16-13. |

I cannot remember last time we just blew a team out of the water. It was our time last week to sneek a win in Dallas and I think its our week to play a realy good offensive game.
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
The Seahawks are not only bad away from home, but they will have to travel thru 3 timezones and the Redskins will be well rested and prepared after a 2 week break.
S. Alexander will not run over the Skins like he did the Cardinals. The Cardinals are just a bad football team. Skin win 17-13 |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
24 - 0
Call me crazy, but I think the defense has a good chance to pitch a shutout this week. Portis will run for two scores, and Moss will catch a 40 yd bomb for a TD. The defense will hold the Seahawks to less than 200 yds. Hasselbeck will be pressured constantly and will be forced to throw the ball up for grabs. I predict that Springs will have an INT. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
The Seahawks are very dependent on getting Alexander the ball...and I think our defense can stop him. Or atleast keep him from having a huge game like he did this week.
I think Gibbs still does not come out of his shell, I think that he thinks that because he won last week that he did everythign right. Which is so far from the trust. I predict we win 13-7. And Ill be there doing my part as the 12th man |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
If Seattle can't run, they won't win. And they won't run on our D. Skins-21 Squaks-10
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Like SkinsNcanes said, the Seahawks are dependet on Shaun Alexander. We have one of the best run defenses in the NFL. Thats why I like the skins here. Coming off the bye week, having some extra time, I'm really feeling good about this game. I think we need at least one of the next two games (either Seattle or Denver), its a absolute must to win one if not both.
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
If the Redskins can shut down Alexander, then the Redskins win 27 - 9.
If not, I believe the Redskins will win 20-17. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Skins 17
Seahawks 16 Our Offense can't be relied on, the D is going to play great again, too many 3 and outs, TOP and turnovers will almost cost us the game. Sean Alexander goes for 80 yards and two TD's. We keep Hassleback in check. We get a TD on Defense to seal the deal in the 4th Q ... |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
10- 3 Skins. I don't think Brunell will be throwing up two desperation passes in this game, and we will resort to our regular short to medium hitches, and solid run game. Portis gets his long awaited first TD here
|

We smoked the Giants pretty good last year 31-7 in the 2nd meeting |

Is the dog still asleep man.....because I haven't seen anything change from last year to this year. Jon Jansen is blowing smoke right there man and I'm tired of all the talking....just show me that we can score some points. |
We smoked the Giants pretty good last year 31-7 in the 2nd meeting
Ok I forgot one it would be nice to see a few of those in the next couple of games.

and the giants only td was a kick return and notice ramsey was the qb in that game |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
:coach: Hand off to portis on the first play just like they expect. Then play action to moss/patten deep. and if we connect ? 35to 13 . if we don't. keep tryin . maybe 24 to 13:food-smil :biggthump :) .
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Shaun Alexander has a knack or getting into the endzone. As good as our Defense plays, it will be difficult to keep Seattle from scoring off of 3 Washignton turnovers on our side of the field.
That said, Redskins win 20 - 17. Portis gets his 1st TD on a 26 yard run. Cooley catches a 5 yarder. 2 field goals. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
And Ill be there doing my part as the 12th man
Hey, for a minute there I thought you were giving me a shout out! :) I just hope we don't come out flat for this one. My prediction is if we have control of the game by the second quarter we'll blow them out. I like 24-7, Skins! Alexander runs for 98 yds/28 carries. Portis 112 on 12 carries!! Go Clinton!!! |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
redskins 19, seahawks 17
our offense is still gonna suck, maybe it will be a little better we will win another ugly game because of our defense |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
and the giants only td was a kick return
and notice ramsey was the qb in that game
If Ramsey actually played like that for most if not all the games after that, I wouldn't mind him being in. But he didn't produce anywhere close to the same product that he did against the Giants. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
I'm not calling for a blowout, but I do think the offense will put up better numbers. How about 21-13 Redskins.
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
27-21 with Portis breaking a 49 yard TD run in OT
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
The offense finally turns the corner. Portis finally scores a TD. And the Redskins keeps another RB under 100yds. Redskins 24, Seahawks7
|

Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Shaun Alexander is held in check by our run D (22 carries, 78 yds) but manages to THROW a TD pass to Hasselback who gets injured early in the 1st half trying to celebrate in the endzone. The Skins then go on to pound away with Portis (21 carries, 145 yds, 2 TDs) and add a fumble recovery TD ( hit by ST and returned by Washington) late in the game to come out with the victory!! 3-0!!!
Final Score: Skins 27 Seahwaks 13 |

I'm feeling this happening as well. I think we FINALLY will mix up the playcalling on Sunday and keep the Seahawks guessing. We did that last year when we blew out New York, so Gibbs KNOWS we have it in us. |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
Some key things to note:
Seattle has given up 108 yards rushing per game so far this year, very average. But starting tailbacks have been held to less than 4 yards per carry. QB scrambles have helped hurt the Seattle rush defense, including 43 yards from Vick. Their rush D is a bit underrated. Their offense is really balanced. They have the #4 rushing offense and the #6 passing offense, so you can't just shut down Alexander. If you don't pressure Hasselbeck he can do damage with Engram and Jackson. With those things in mind I see a very defensive battle. I do think we can shut down Alexander and the passing game too. But I think they're going to do a good job on Portis too. Redskins 16 - Seahawks 13 |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
13-9 Skins, with Springs scoring our TD.
|
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
the redskins will KILL them
wash - 56 sea - 13 |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
okay that was a joke. i expect our D to hold them but not completely shut them out. they might churn out 13-16 points. i am MORE interested in seeing if the offense can finally open it up.
since the excitement from the dallas game has lessened, i hope that brunell and the guys can put up some points early in the game and then lock down defensively instead of playing comeback. in addition, i'm interested in seeing if it was just by chance that brunell matched the number of good throws he had last year (except in 4 minutes). i hope he isn't out of them. PR for pres.! |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
I think we will open up our offense. Gibbs now has confidence in Brunell's deep passing ability. This should open the run for Portis.
38-9 skins |
Re: Skins vs Hawks Predictions
the redskins will KILL them
wash - 56 sea - 13
 I'm with ya! But I think the score will be REDSKINS-28 SEAHAWKS- 9 with there only T.D coming in the last 5 min. |
