A break from draft/trade talk..

Is anyone else getting draft/trade rumor overload? I love this time of the year, but at the same time it's just soooooo much out there you don't know what to beleive.. I just thought I'd post a fun question about what Redskins jerseys do you own and whose do you want next?

I have Champ and Gardner, so I'll be investing in some new ones soon.. I think I'll get a Coles and whomever they draft next week once it's available.

Skins fan 44 04-14-2004 11:56 AM

Well I was hoing to suggest trading Brunell, Lavar, and Portis for more picks, but since you want to talk about other stuff cool.

I have a #11 jersey that I got when Ripken was playing without a last name on back, and I have a # 17 Wurffel jersey that I bought for 15 bucks that I need to take off the last name.

I'll give you $16 for that shirt right now.

BrudLee:
No way I am waiting untill he goes into the Hall Of Fame.

Carnage 04-14-2004 12:51 PM

I will trade you a Brad Johnson and Stephen Davis for that Gardner jersey.

skinsfanthru&thru 04-14-2004 01:03 PM

I have a Terry Allen, Bruce Smith, and a customized authentic jersey with my name on it. I was planning on getting an Arrington jersey but even if he allows his name to be marketed, I'm not so sure anymore with all of his whinning and I really liked the guy 2. I know I want both a Jansen jersey and a Coles one.

PSUskinsfan11 04-14-2004 01:11 PM

Im going to put me and my uncle together here but we have:

5 LaVar's (2 red 1 signed) (2 white) (1 pro bowl)
Smoot (throwback signed)
2 Trotter (throwback 1 signed)
Green red
number 11 Rypken without name
number 72 Manley without name
Samules red
Bailey white

coming soon......2 Portis and 2 Taylor/Udeze/Harris/Starks or basically whoever else we draft as long as its not Winslow

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 03:47 PM

I have a white Darrel Green replica, and an authentic of the 70th anniversery with his 20 year patch on it. Ive always loved D.Green so I dished out the damn near 300 bucks for the real anniversary jersey.

Im going to get a Portis, and whoever we draft if its one of the Canes.

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 03:48 PM

lol, oh yea. TECHNICALLY, I also have a Heath Shuler, Brad Johnson, and a few other bum QBs that I bought for less that 15 bucks just becuase I was young and wanted a Skins jersey. I dont even think they are replicas, just random brands that make knockoff jersyes that I probably bought at Sears, lol.

Dave Butz Baby! 04-14-2004 03:54 PM

I have an old white #44, an old #38 (George Rogers), a white #48 (Davis), a white #28, and a burgundy #56.

MTK 04-14-2004 04:37 PM

In red I have: Stephen Davis, Darrell Green, Terry Allen, Patrick Ramsey

white: Brad Johnson

retro: Champ

Next up for me is one of the retro Smoot's that's on sale at Skins.com, and either an Arrington or maybe Coles, not sure yet. If Arrington keeps whining he's definitely off my list.

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 04:54 PM

I wouldnt mind having a Chad Morton jersey. I know a lot of you will wonder why, so ill tell you, heh. When i met all of the players he impressed me more than anyone. He spent a good amount of time talking to me, we discussed Madden, life, whatever. He was just a really pleasant person and I hope he does well for us.

Monkman81 04-14-2004 04:55 PM

trade talk

I have a red,and a white #12 Frerrote,a red #82 Westbrook,a white #21 Sanders(yeah I know),a red #81 Monk(the man),and a red #11 Ramsey.My next ones will be Lavar and Portis.

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 05:03 PM

Two Frerrote jerseys huh. I wonder what he scored on that test, cant be two high for a player that knocks himself out.

SkinsRock 04-14-2004 06:00 PM

A red D. Green and a retro Ramsey.
On my wish list are Coles, Arrington, and Smoot, but as with everyone else, LaVar might slip off because of his whining.
I'm also considering using the make you own thing on NFL.com to get a #81 Monk....my other all-time favorite Redskin.

Sadistic Jeff 04-14-2004 06:02 PM

I have one of the special edition ones with my Name and Number.

I never have to worry about myself getting traded or signing somewhere else. lol

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 06:14 PM

lol, are you willing to redo your contact. AND are you part of the NFL licensing agreement.

SkinsRock 04-14-2004 06:16 PM

Thought about getting this one made too: #1 GIBBS

SKINSnCANES 04-14-2004 06:17 PM

lol, nice

JoeRedskin 04-15-2004 08:53 AM

Am I the only one with just one jersey (Darrell Green Retro)? How do you decide which one to wear on game day??

SKINSnCANES 04-15-2004 01:40 PM

I have an normal white one from a few years back then the authentic retro. My girlfriend initials are D.Green so I give her the nonauthentic one to wear.

You're so right about Morton. He is definitely the friendliest player I've met so far. He didn't act put-off at all when I asked if I could interview him at camp last year, and he stood there and cheerfully answered questions for at least 15 minutes-- which is an eternity for players after two-a-day practices!

He's a very articulate guy-- very intelligent and well-spoken-- and just has a really pleasant demeanor, just like you said, SKINSnCANES. He seems to get along really well with all the media. I've been rooting for him, and I hope he has an outstanding career here in Washington under Coach Gibbs.

SKINSnCANES 04-15-2004 06:50 PM

Yea we gave him big money for what he does. He seems to be more of a kick returner then a punt returner. So mabye Thrash could take the punt returning and he could just do kick returning. He got knicked up a little last year, hopefully he'll get some more big returns for us next yera.

Sammy Baugh Fan 04-15-2004 08:13 PM

I just have one Jersey. A 1945 Throwback with the number 45
http://www.imagesculptor.com/redskins/tn_jerseypack_jpg.jpg

It would be Ted Lapka who was on the team 1943, 1944 and 1946.
http://www.imagesculptor.com/redskins/tn_66_jpg.jpg
There he is defending against a Packer pass in 1946.

As best I can tell he went to WWII for a short time at the end of 1944 missing the 1945 season.

peace

Did you look it up, or are you just very knowledgeable? Specifically it was from 1980, the year Riggins sat out on a contract dispute. I was new to the Redskins, and he was our starting RB.

I wish I had that kind of encyclopedic knowledge! I knew Jackson played in the early 80s, but I wasn't sure exactly which years. I had to look that up. I've got a ton of Redskins/NFL resources bookmarked on my favorites list, as I'm sure most Warpathers do.

Where'd you score an old-school jersey like that?

SKINSnCANES 04-17-2004 01:38 AM

I wish I had some old Jerseys, my dad was never big into Jerseys. Ive got tons of original pennants and other memorabilia. For most of my childhood halloweens I was a redskins fan. I had so many buttons that i could nearly cover my body. The best part was that most of them played hail to the redskins when you pushed them...heh, that went over well in class!!
