No Love For Ade!
From CBS Sportsline:
"If Harris can't play, not only will Rogers make his starting debut, but Ade Jimoh, burned more often than refried beans during his first two seasons, will be the nickel corner." Refried beans? is Ade Mexican?? Can't we find an ethnically correct metaphor? |
Re: No Love For Ade!
What's this about Harris not being able to play? Is he hurt?

He's listed questionable with a calf injury... |
Re: No Love For Ade!
I hope Harris is healthy enough to start. The man has been great so far and I'm not convinced Rogers is ready just yet.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
can anyone tell me why he's still on our roster? i don't get it. size and speed with zilch for awareness is no good .I mean this is one crispy critter.

He's a very good special teams player. |
Re: No Love For Ade!
He had a nice hit in week one and the game ending tackle against Dallas.
As cpayne said, he's a very good teams player, that's why he makes the roster year after year. Deal with it, Ade haters!! LOL |
Re: No Love For Ade!
Jimoh is HORRIBLE!!! I don't what he does on special teams, he should have been cut years ago.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
That was the ADE who came flying in to make that final tackle?! I kept wondering who that was.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
Guys, Ade did not make the final tackle in Dallas. In fact, he did not have a tackle at all against Dallas and only 1 against Chicago. He really is a good Special Teamer!!! Geez, he is horrible.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
Ade isn't as bad as he's made out to be, he's a hard worker, and he is a great teams player. As far as corner, he does get burned, but he's also made some REALLY good plays. It's hard to cut potential.
I must admit I've been impressed with how harris has played thus far this season. I am curious if he'll be able to handle a pure speed receiver very well. I'm curious to see Rodgers too though! |
Re: No Love For Ade!
I think that was Stoutmire.

Re: No Love For Ade!
Oh boy - here we go again! Blow a couple coverage assignments for big touchdowns and everyone goes apeshit on ya...
Here are 5 good reasons why we need THE Ade on the team: 5. Hello - He's the only special teams *DEMON* we've got - Hello! 4. As stated earlier - The Ade's got more potential than anyone else on the team - I mean, he's nearly 99.5% potential! 3. We wouldn't want the only high-risk, high-reward players on the team to be primadonnas like LaVar and ST. The Ade's a "working man's" Sean Taylor. 2. Speaking of which, no criminal background and can articulate a sentence in good english. Don't undervalue this - my prediction is that in a few years The Ade will be one of only 5 players in the league not in rehab, probation or prison. Hell - he'll be a probowler! 1. Who doesn't like refried beans?! |

Re: No Love For Ade!
I thought Ade had the last tackle against Dallas... maybe the # switch got me mixed up.

I can't really see much, but I'm pretty sure the guy who made the last tackle had a # in the 20's. |
Re: No Love For Ade!
If you are talking about the 4th down stop, that was Walt Harris.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
Harris is listed as questionable, but Gibbs said he plans on starting.
|
Re: No Love For Ade!
yeah the last play was walt..and ade..a working mans sean taylor?
geez...i dont know about all that. Good special teams player, but you compare him in the same breath to sean taylor? cmon...this is ADE we are talking about.. |

Re: No Love For Ade!
Ok he is a solid special teams player, but he must have some kind of magic spell he he casts in the film room because his history on defense is crazy bad and they keep putting him in there whenever somebody gets hurt? I would rather Sean Taylor move to nickle and go with three safeties and never three cb's if Walt is hurt. Keep Jimoh away from the secondary at all costs!
