Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

not a good day to be Drew Bledsoe

Why would you post that here??

Why not? Its not like it won't be allover the NFL.

I mean who here would care that much? It's not a secret but it also isn't pertinent to this site.

Crayton is replaceable. Flozell.......not so much.

Re: Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

looks like witten might be used more as a blocker or u might see cambell I think it is on the field to help out on that side. does adams guard Bledsoe's blindside? if so it's going to be interesting to see if Bledsoe can make it through the rest of the year even more so now.

5RINGS 10-17-2005 05:42 PM

Re: Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

I guess I am wrong about the interest here.......

Yes Adams is the LT. He has been hot and cold this year, but he is miles better than whatever we get to replace him. We already got a rookie on the line.

Anyhow every team will have this problem, who gets through the year without getting banged up on O-Line and who has Depth at O-Line anymore?? Thanks Free agency!!
Thanks for giving us the weakest SuperBowl winners in history from 98 - 2005.

I still believe any SB champion from 1990 to 1998 could beat the Patriots.

More proof that Redskin fans know more about the Boyz, than there own fans.

One reason why I hate them so much

That's funny.

I too am waiting for the game or three Drew will have to sit out due to injury. It has to happen. He's old. Not moblie, and will soon be playing behind two - almost two - rookies.

Re: Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

Ah, good ol' Crayton......he'll probably be glad not to play against 21 again.

I still would've prefered the entire team ensue in a fight in Texass stadium and lots of people get injured....

Thank for sharing the info...I didn't know until you posted it here. Good news for the rest of the division, bad news for the Boys.

Agreed. That's lame. I don't like to see a guy get seriously hurt. I just wish the game had ended in a tie.

LOL. I prefer to beat teams at full strenth so they dont have any excuses.

Get the hell out of town! I'm happy when any Eagle, Giant, or Cowboy is out for the season. As long as it's not career threatening or life threatening then it's fine to root for the injuries. Sure it hurts a lot, but Adams will come back next year and be fine. It's not like he lost his livelihood or anything.

Pain is temporary.

Sean Taylor is better than Roy Williams now, and always will be.

In my list of things I'd prefer happen, beating teams at full strength is one notch below beating them. There isn't a seperate column for "Coulda Won if we were Healthy".

sucks for the cowboys that he went down. bye bye bledsoe.

Re: Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

I agree Allen is a huge loss and we don't have a capable backup what I see us doing is

1 sign Verba from FA for a 1 year contract
2 sign a capable backup for another teams practice Squad or FA and Start Torrin Tucker.
3 Trade for Fonoti with SD this is the less likely.

But hey we can't make excuses all teams have losses some bigger than others good teams overcome them and good players step up.

I believe will go for #2 and Torrin will get more help at the begging from witten and campbell and Pettiti who has started the past 6 games will see more single coverage and help from rivera.

About the Crayton story apperently he will miss a month that can turn out to be from 3 to 4 games also we have price as a backup so I don't consider it a huge loss as Allen he was doing great.

Had great explosion hands and speed will see how price steps up.

It seems that alot of players have gone down this past two weeks with season ending injuries.

I doubt they will trade for Fonoti by the 6 pm est. time trade deadline tonight.

The NFL is notorious for a lack of trades.

Though the 'Boys made one last year... remember Quincy Morgan?

The obvious trade bait for Dallas is Anthony Thomas, and I don't see San Diego needing a running back right now.

I could see a player and a mid/late round pick for Fonoti and then move Allen to LT

But, this isnt the same LA that started @ LT and was a pro bowler 7 years ago

BTW--Crayton out 6-8 weeks...

Bucs picked up Tim Rattay from the Niners. One less QB for us to plan for.

Fonoti goes to the Viqueens where he will be designated team "Captain"

Never tought about this trade I think this means Chucky doesn't think Simms has a future.

Re: Dallas loses all pro LT Adams for year

Rattay is just insurance, I don't think it's a knock on Simms at all.

Well I have to disagree Sims is a restricted free agent next year I think they are covering for next year remmeber TB has cap problems. also Sims might start next week after the bye but he will be in a short leash.

Talked to a diehard dallas fan and he said that it wasn't that wasn't a big deal. and that tucker would probaly be a upgrade over adams. he said adams had gotten too big (fat)for his own good.and was having a hard time getting out of his own way.

You mean the kind of Captain that gets a nice peaked hat and a white jacket with ribbons?

They'll need one for their next boat party.

I didn't think griese was that old or that bad... maybe i wasn't paying attention (been out all weekend).

You guys could always call up dave fiore or vaugn parker (i think they're both LGs), not natural LTs, but probably better than your depth (that is if their knees somehow magically healed over the last year of sitting on the couch.)
