Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
As I read the board I try not and repeat threads or comments so for the most part I hang back but as I ready this week's volly I see something not mention.
Sean Taylor is knocking the dog poo out of folks all over the field all game long. WOW! What a gifted young man he is. Sure I saw he over pursue a play or two or be a step out a play or two but I saw him hit people back into yesterdays breakfast. Hey Ram offence you go JACKED UP! by Taylor o a ton of plays. Any one else notice he is a force on his own? peace mike |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Yeah Sammy Baugh -- I have yet to see the "swoop" ability GW raves about, but he sure as hell using the hit stick this year!

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
this is a quote in a profile on instant messanger "On the field, the Redskins got themselves a freak. Taylor could play corner, linebacker, probably receiver or running back if he really wanted to. But he likes the idea of laying people out. He tapes each of his knuckles before games, inserts gold false teeth, parts of a ritual that leads to him openly telling opponents of the punishment they are about to face. One receiver accused Taylor of spitting on him. As the year progressed, the closer I watched him, the more it became apparent that he was a 15 yard penalty waiting to happen. That being said, the Redskins couldn't have gotten a better safety, one with range, athleticism and the ability to literally scare others."

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
He's a running "Career Ending Injury" to Offensive QBs, Backs and Recievers as is LaVar Arrington.

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Did anyone see that shot he put on a Rams receiver, I think it was Bruce. He got held up and spun around and Taylor came in and cleaned him up. At the time they were talking about the Rams coach blah, blah, and they didn't even mention the stick.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I saw three plays that should be on JACKED UP tonight on ESPN's pregame show
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
He will def be on JACKED UP tonight!

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I must admit, I love jacked up. Best idea ESPN ever had. I'd love to see some honorable mentions when they do it though.

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
My man Sean executes on the field "the perfect hit" I see in my head again, and again..................
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
The kid is scary, im glad hes on our side!!! Also I love the title of the post "Slobberknocking"...GREAT!!!

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Bugle taught me Slobberknocker.
My Dad taught me Snotlocker lol |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Torry holt said on the john thompson show that he thought that my boy sean is a hall of fame player. That is a hell of a lot to say by torry. Holt is extremely respected around the league and to say something like that about his second year is crazy. Torry said that he is all over the field on every play and if you aren't paying attention he will lay you out
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
THINGS YOU HEAR AFTER SEAN TAYLOR HITS YOU:
"Dewd, you have spitule on the side of yer face" "We're on this side of the ball man" "How many fingers do you see?" [always answer 2 to get back in game] |

lol
You'll see little white angels on thewarpath |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Is he having a pro-bowl year though?
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
who would be voted ahead of him in the NFC at safety?
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
don't know, i'm curious
what about the philly duo? |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
i'm thinking he had much better numbers last year and he didn't make it , so this year he's prolly not gonna either.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
that's what i was thinking, wolf....unless this year he made it on reputation rather than stats. which could still happen.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Roy Williams will be voted ahead of ST. As much as i hate to say it, williams is a great safety. The only way ST makes it ahead of RW is if we make it to the playoff and the cowboys don't. With that being said I'll take ST on my team anyday.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Roy Williams is also a strong safety, is he not?
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I think williams is a ss. but last year, taylor had better stats than whoever went in his place, and he didn't go. This year, he has a rep. and people are trying to stay away from him, so his numbers arent as good.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I think Darren Sharper will get the nod over taylor he has 7 ints this year with 2 tds though he doesn't have that many tackles

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Lol, I don't think Patrick Crayton has ever been the same since Sean put that hit on him Monday night.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Just thinking - maybe the Skins should have a fan appreciation day and hand out cheap #21 shirts to the whole crowd on the instruction they wear them for all the remaining home games.
Crayton would shit his pants walking into a stadium full of 21's! :biggthump |

Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I totally agree with this thead--Sean has been sticking folks this season, and especially this week. He was hitting folks in run support and on specials too. He just loves to hit.
(He almost ripped that guy's head off on that face mask over the middle--ooops! Here's your head back, buddy.) |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
He's not getting the turnovers I expected (just 1 INT), but his "fear factor" plays big in games and cannot be listed on a stat sheet. I think Torry Holt's comments speak to Taylor's ability to put fear in opposing offensive players. Anyone remember Todd Pinkston's alligator arms last year? I bet that was a product of Sean Taylor.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
Dwight Smith (New Orleans), Brian Dawkins (Philadelphia), are Darren Sharper (Vikings) Sean Taylor's competition for the Pro Bowl. My guess is Dawkins and Sharper will get the nods.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I think we really saw the value of Sean Taylor in the game he didn't play. Without Taylor there, the whole middle of the field was wide open for the Tampa offense.

LOL I saw it too. Baldinger (or whoever it was), was rambling and rambling, and it looked like Taylor killed the poor guy. But no one said a word and they just went on babbling like nothing happened. They didn't even show a replay. I gotta find that video clip. |

You said it. Case in point. |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
I think Roy Williams is really overrated. The guy is horrible in coverage. Just ask Santana Moss. ;)

Seriously, I rarely see them right for extra yards. Holt catches it, lays down. Bruce catches it, lays down. Sure, they have speed but I rarely see them beat people with moves, because it seems to me they can't STAND to get hit. |

Yeah it's annoying to watch at times, but it's smart on their part I guess. Otherwise they would take some nasty shots, and considering neither Bruce or Holt are 100% right now it makes sense for them to avoid contact. |
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
They've been avoiding contact pretty much ever since they consistently got killed in the Super Bowl against the Pats. It really doesn't bother me anymore. The Colts pretty much do it too.
|
Re: Sean Taylor is Slobberknocking Folks This Year
redsk1 are you kidding me?roy williams is garbage in pass coverage.just ask our own santana moss.as far as dawkins,he will probably make it on reputation even though he isnt having a pro bowl type year.sean taylor should be on the team, but after c griffith didnt make it last year, who knows?
