Are We Starting To Peak?
I'm not sure if its me but it looks like the Skins are starting to peak and get healthy at the right time. Our D is starting to look like last years D only allowing one TD in Each of its last 3 games. The line is getting healthy and we are getting preasure up the middle. Our O did suffer a big loss with the injury to Jansen but I feel Brown can handle the job for the next 4 to 5 weeks. Cooley made a statement against Dallas so teams are going to pay more attention to him and this will help to free up Moss some. On top of that we are getting Thrash back in the line up and you know he will help with the passing attack. Portis has rushed for over 100 yards in each of the last three games and the line is pushing the D off the ball. This game will be the defining moment of this season and if we can beat the Giants a little like we did the Cowboys the sky could be the limit. On top of all of that our coach is one that thrives this time of the year. Just a few thought what do you guys think?

Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
Looks like they've turned the corner, that's for sure.
I would say if we can string together 3 more wins, I would calling peaking. But we are definitley doing fine. |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
I was just thinking the SAME DAMN thing! Looking around, we are getting healthy. D-line all in making a big difference. Thrash back! etc, etc. A lot of media types, and player/coach types (with no obligation to do so) are starting to talk favorably about the Skins. it feels like momentum building! I think we kick their ass, not by three points!!!!!!!!!

HOG, I'm thinking we're gonna beat by more than 3 points too. |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
I think we are.
The defense seems to be regaining it's form from last year, and the commitment to the running game by the offense has led our resurgence. We still have 2 games to go though, so our work is far from finished. |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
This will be a big test for us. Lets hope they dont listen to most people on tv and think we will just walk out with a win. It is going to be a dog fight, thats for sure. The good news we are at home and we should have no excuses why we can not win.

Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
this will be the week to tell. If they win this game they have peaked. After all they beat ST. louie and arizona, barely, and beat up Dallas. If you look at it right now the Dallas game could be a fluke, though I don't think so. If there had been no turnovers in that game what would the result have been? A blow out? I don't think so. They would have still won. But not by the same margin. The skins had a short field for nearly the entire game. I think turnovers will be the key to tomorrows game as well. But, If there are no turnovers then it is whoever runs the ball better.
Do you think attendence may be down some being on Christmas Eve?
Very likely. But most importantly, winning four straight this time of year would be an accomplishment. I am so corfortablw with Brunell at QB and I believe Coach Williams will have Manning beat us while stacking the box. They don't have the most explosive WRs in the league.
|
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
Well, they were able to pressure Bledsoe without stacking the box. I hope they are able to do that and manage tiki with just the front 7. That allows great flexibilty on defense

I would not be surprised if we did not see some new plays , formations, or even players playing a different position ( like Taylor lining up as a WR).

Re: Are We Starting To Peak?

Re: Are We Starting To Peak?

you talkin' to me? :) |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
One play that I thought was pretty slick (because it worked) was when we lined up with 3 WRs and Portis in the slot. Brunell sent Portis in motion to the backfield and handed the ball off to Portis off tackle.

I'm leaving work and we have stoped our internet at home so it will be Tuesday before I get a chance to celebrate our victory with you guys. It would be realy cool that on Tuesday when I get back here we know that we have made the playoffs. Ok thats asking a bit much but it is very possible. Until then Marry Christmas and have a safe one.

the 12th man thing is getting wild at RFK Errrrrrrrr FEDEX! You can clearly hear it on tv. All the false starts are awesome. Even the announcers are talking about it. COOL |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
i wold say we are see signs of good things to come.are starting to peak you might be seein a little bit of it.a few more players ala defensive line and the offensive line along with a #2 wr and trying to resign our own it shall get very interesting down the road.for this year it,s lookin good just got to keep it going for what it,s worthand thats the playoffs.
we are gettin there but not quite there yet. |
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
The guys filling for Dan Patrick today this pm are describing FEDEX as IMPOSSIBLE to play in because of the noise. Additionally for what it's worth, they are both picking the skins to put the G-men away by a signifigant margin. They suggest the GW's D will OVERWELM the Giants and chase Ellie May all over the field. They have come back to the noise and crowd factor at Fedex about 5-times. Interesting...........Our guys got embarrassed in the first outing. I believe they are gonna' make those guys PAY!!!!!!!!!!
|
Re: Are We Starting To Peak?
Hey guys, what needs to happen is that this team needs to believe it can do good things. And we as fans can give them that extra edge by giving them that same intensity in ALL games as we gave them in FedEx against dallas. That place was electric, and there was no way we could lose with the strength of 90,000 plus.
