Dqwell Jackson UMD
:) Do u guys think we will get dqwell Jackson out of the university of Maryland to peplace Lavar. He could still be there when we pick at 53 and he's got passion for the game, e heck of a linebacker.
Ps: hope lavar doesn't go to the cowgirls. |
Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
that was about the only concrete thing lavar said in his interview, that it would be really hard for him to put on a dallas uni.then again,we all know that old saying money talks.....

Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
from france. cool. I would love someone from the U...of md but I would like to use that spot for a second WR. Actually come to think of it we really need a ROLB. I don't know. Since lavar left my perception at where we are at financially and strength wise is out of proportion...I'll get back on this one.

Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
No way he would be available when we pick.

Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
Even if Jackson were available I believe he's a middle linebacker. If we took him I think we would have to move Marshall back to the outside. I don't like the idea of having 2 linebackers playing out of position.

Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
there's a lot of good LBs, he might be there, but probably not.
with the #2 pick we can get a starting quality guard, a starting TE, a starting LB (MLB or OLB), a #2/#3 corner, a starting SS, or a situational pass rusher or development DE (if someone like wimbley or edwards falls, there's a chance of them starting), and possibly a DT #2 falls here. a #3 corner or starting TE can also be picked up in the 3rd pretty readily, possibly a situational pass rusher as well. |
Re: Dqwell Jackson UMD
I would rather pick up Abdul Hodge in that case and move Marshall back outside. Still think McClover would be our best bet at 53.

I'm pretty sure Lemar is a natural OLB. He was just more suited to play MLB then Arrington, Holdman, and Washington |

washington can play MLB pretty well (from GW's interviews), but he can get more sacks etc from the outside position (something lemar couldn't do as well cause he has more trouble shedding blocks). If we do take a MLB/ILB guy in this draft, he's going to HAVE to play OLB, cause the chances he learns the checks and calls for GW while also learning the NFL (while we're trying to win) are fairly slim. At least for the first year. |

That's what I'm saying. I know it wasn't very clear, but what I was saying was that we would have to move Marshall back outside, otherwise we'd have 2 LBs playing out of position. |
