Arrington radio interview from yesterday

Lavar was on a Miami radio station (790 The Ticket, www.790theticket.com) yesterday and had some insight into his departure..

I missed it live but they are really good about putting interviews up on the web..

He had very good things to say about Gibbs and Williams, not so much about Dale Lindsay..

Talks about Ramsey as well, says he thinks Ramsey's career is a lot like his, was never the coaching staff's 'guy'. Thinks he can be decent if given a chance to if he's in the right situation.

just like i said before. ramsey and arrington will do well with a fresh start.

its a shame they are damaged goods from the previous turmoil.

Re: Arrington radio interview from yesterday

just as always, Arrington shows he has class. he did throw Linsey under the bus, which if the reports are correct from other players and media, he should have. He called Gibbs a Legendary Coach and liked GW, which goes against what has been written lately. It did bring up something very interesting, if LaVar being cut was strictly cap related because of the uncertainty of the CBA, why not bring him back. I know its not going to happen, not now. But I think it shows it was more than cap related. They will end up spending more or about the same to fill his spot, when they could bring him back. Some teams are now thinking of resigning the vets they let go since the CBA was signed.

the impetus was the cap, but ultimately in the int. Lavar himself said staying couldn't be worked out. Take that how you choose. I know he was put in a position w/out great options, but Gibbs did offer a means of him staying in Wash., but it either meant at a reduced salary or Lavar simply wanted out.
Take a look at Lenny P's top 50 fa's on espn.com
Lavar's not even listed! must be an oversight or lenny p really think's he's done

When was that done. was LaVar a FA at that time? doubt it.

I just saw that his list was updated thursday, 3-9. I find it hard to think there are 50 better FA. but that is his opinion. When has Len P has anything positive to say about Dannys Redskins anyway, or its players. Didn't he think Joe was going to fail?

it was said that he had too choose one of the two options regardless of a cba or not.
