Saturday categories include: Pork, Beef & Chicken. 1st Place wins $1,000 , 2nd Place wins $750, 3rd Place $500, 4th Place $250. All winners including 5th & 6th Place will receive a Trophy. We also have special awards for the "NATION'S BEST BBQ SAUCE" with a $1,000 cash prize for 1st Place, and trophies for 2nd, 3rd.& 4th places.

On Sunday teams cook off in the National Pork BBQ Championship sanctioned by Memphis in May. Sunday categories include: Whole Hog, Pork Shoulder & Pork Rib. 1st Place winners win $1,500, 2nd Place wins $1,000, 3rd Place $500, 4th Place $250 and 5th Place $100. All winners including 6th and 7th Place will be receiving a Trophy. The Grand Champion of the Nations Capital will win an additional $2,500.00 and paid entry in the 2007 Memphis in May© World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest to compete for over $55,000 & the World Championship Pork Barbecue Title.[/quote]
