is macintosh signed yet?

Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
I think he is the only one left not to sign unless i'm forgetting someone.

Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
TMC, what makes you think that Montgomery is going to end up being a steal? I haven't read too much about him.

Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
He had injuries that have caused him to slip waaaaaaaaaaaay down the draft board. The guy is a beast and will most likely find his way into the rotation.

If it wasn't for the injuries he was projected as a day one pick, no? |

Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
lots of day one projections slip over the course of a college season. leon washington was the #1 rated RB and ended up being projected as the #9 RB by the time the draft came around. Kevin simon was also suppoed to be a day one pick at some point. But so were about 50 other players.

Kili Lefotu is also left to sign... |
Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
oh yeah, so no one gets the wrong idea, I do like montgomery, I only listed two DTs on my 2nd day wants list, and we took both of them (as well as doughty who i REALLY wanted).
that article on montgomery has good info, but its a terrible comparision because it left so many players out and included such tiny data sets for those that remained. 1 Bunkley, Brodrick 1 (Round 1) 2 Ngata, *Haloti 1 (Round 1) 3 McCargo, *John 1-2 (Round 1) 4 Wroten, Claude 2 (Round 3) 5 Watson, Gabe 2 (Round 4) 6 Stanley, Montavious 2-3 (Round 6) 7 Harris, Orien 2-3 (Round 4) 8 Oshinowo, Babatunde 2-3 (Round 6) 9 Wright, Rodrique 3 (Round 7) 23 DTs were drafted, most fell, as shown above. |

Wow, that was quite an article...makes me really excited to have him as a Redskin. Especially because I think if even part of his problem was attitude or effort our top-flight coaching staff is going to cure him of that real quick! |

That's why I reserve my judgment on a player until AFTER I have watched them play. That is the only way you can measure a player's "technical proficiency", borrowing the words that the writer of this article used. |
Re: Skins sign 3 of their draft picks!
the article basically says he's worse than the top guys and better than wright (who went two rounds later) and watson (who went one round earlier). The writer makes it seem like he was at the wrong end of some huge scouting injustice, but he ended up going right around where this guy projects him anyways (relative-talent wise).
If he had compared him to mccargo or harris or wroten instead he could have actually proved his point, but he may have already known what the answer would be had he done so :P as is the article is bit biased in slant (but it is an opinion piece, afterall... I just wish it used better data so it'd be more objective and harder to argue). |

This makes me happy too, especially since Williams seems to really like him. Seems like he should be a smart special teamer at first, and those are good to have since we should be kicking off every 5minutes or so after our offense repeatedly torches the opposing D. |
