George Starke charged with cocaine possession
http://www.nbc4.com/sports/3315450/detail.html
Referring to the cop who arrested him and charged him with cocaine possession: "That's a Giants fan for ya." |
I'm assuming that the arresting officer hasn't commented, because that is the most one-sided story I've ever heard of.
I hope George is innocent, and cleared of all charges. |
Poor guy!!! He was framed man!! :stop:
|
Sure sounds like this was one idiot cop.... I gotta believe Starke on this one.
|
He either got railroaded or else he's just a very unlucky addict. I hope for his sake that it's the former.
|
Sounds to me like some of George's "troubled teens" still have some problems even though they are in his program.
Does anyone else find it unusual that Starke - a successful businessman and mentor to troubled teens - had to borrow a sled from one of his "problem children". I want Starke to be cleared of all this, but something in this story just does not ring right... |
Possession weighs a lot more heavily with me than his explanation.

Update: Starke Guilty

sucks to be him
|
I don't know the man but pleading guilty is not an admission of guilt. If he is really guilty, I hope the program helps him kick the habit.
|
Well I hope everything works out well for everyone involved but there is one thing that bothers me from when the story was originally released. When he was first arrested he made it a point to notify the officer that the car actually belonged to one of the troubled teens he helps out. Not to jump to any conclusions, but I really hope Starke wasn't thinking he'd just pin the blame on his student, that would be awful.

I think this is the reason he plead guilty. Deflecting responsibility probably his first reaction in what he told the cops... first instinct is to always cover your ass. If the car story was BS, than instead of going to court and having the prosecutors drag that out of him, he just plead guilty and got it over with. He probably would have been in far worse shape if if had tried to continue on with the car story in court and found guilty. I just hope he sees this as an opportunity to get his shit together. Addiction is a bitch. |
im young and dont know this guy. who is he?
|
George Starke was one of the original Hogs. Played right tackle. If I remember right left to right it was Joe Jacoby, Russ Grimm, Jeff Bostic, Mark May and George Starke
|
