Chemistry can't be bought
Chemistry can't be bought, simply that. Year in year out, the skins hardly have the chance to gain familiararity with personnel, plays, and expectations. This is what Snyder has failed to grasp -signing big names with a possible good intention but underlining desire to market the Super Bowl potential talent to lure in the fans money. The additions are TOO patchworked and don't fit a unified design. Unless that design is to find new ways to break my heart while I watch the rival teams celebrate NOT being cursed to be a "DEADSKIN" (as I will hear for the next 365 days)
Shamefully, it is like having your license taken away, while having a garage full of Lamborgini's and other exotic cars that are sitting on cinder blocks. Unable to leave the neighborhood for fear of being exposed as a fraud even if the car was in motion. What is to be will be, this is the way of the world. It would have been nice to have respect for the team at the end of the season, however, out the window with that outcome. Baseball thankfully is over if it ever began at least the NBA will be starting up and I will not have to watch ESPN to hear the Skins be the laughing stock of professional sports as often. See you next year Redskins, I am sure you will show your true colors at some point b/c I won't be looking too hard for you. |

so true :(

Re: Chemistry can't be bought
i pretty much agree with the original post. For once I would like to see the Redskins try and build through the draft and have a coach for at least 4+ seasons to rebuild the team in his own image. Look at what Lovie Smith has done with the Bears. Just another team that waited patiently to get all the right pieces to the puzzle and now they're the hottest thing since the Pats. :(

Re: Chemistry can't be bought
Football is about going out together as one and beating the hell out of the other gang. Pride is established by doing this. I have no pride watching them, in fact I would prefer if they would forfeit the rest of the season and be known as spineless pussies rather than pussies having their spines ripped out. That would be the first sign of intelligence this season, avoid playing b/c you F'N suck as grown men and are shaming your fans.
I wanna see Brunell, bring me my food next time I go to a restaraunt and have the defense sing me happy birthday afterward b/c they are not football players. Time for a new profession. Whats the special Mark??????????? |
Re: Chemistry can't be bought
Yes, it can. There's a dude on the corner selling meth.

Well I hope Snyder can get the Meth and the guy will teach him Math b/cwe are F'N are losers. |
Re: Chemistry can't be bought
they did the same crap in 1999, went to the playoffs, spent money on free agents and went 8-8. chemisty on this team was so high last year at the end and they killed it. especially on defense. somebody better do something. a leader better step up and lead by example or this team and all the high priced, over paid players we have are for nothing. its ridiculous!! the defense sat back and let Young throw where ever he wanted. to me, when you see a rookie QB you blitz your ass off, which we use to do. dont give me this crap about springs being out. if you get pressure, he wont have time to pick the secondary apart. I would rather have a DB covering for 2 to 3 seconds than 5 to 6 seconds. this D sucks!!

Re: Chemistry can't be bought
Yes it can. But it must be the right moves. I was praying the Redskins would get Drew Breeze. Instead they brought in a bunch of loosers.

Well put. Theres not too much to say that hasnt already been said. It was a team effort to suck that fucking bad out there today, truly. Not any one person deserves the goat but there are a few that deserve a little special recognition::soapbox: Special Teams-for the blocked punt/safety thanks assholes (props to N. Novak cuz he made it a safety instead of a TD by falling on it):goodjob: Mark Brunell-for being an old, inconsistent douchebag. I thinks it time to let the future (J. Campbell) have his shot at doing what he is supposed to do; save this TEAM. Go away Mark, and dont come back until you've decided you can play like we all know you can, shit head.:FIREdevil The Whole Defense-okay, we all know they sucked. I think one reason why the made Henry look like L.Tomlinson is because we had 2 rookies in on D-Line, Golston(who i have now lost ALL respect for) and that other fuck...cant think of his name. Way to look like a bunch of sissy little 12 year old girls there guys, way to go.:goodjob: Overall today was a pretty shitty outing. Yes, the season is over. Yes, they need to put Campbell in. Not to try to save the season as much as to train him to be good next year. I know that sounds bad but at this point, I dont know what else we could possibly do. |

Great analogy - this is like watching the meltdown of the highly touted 2000 team all over again. Ryan Clark could be doing more for this defense at about 1/3 the money we gave to Archuletta. About the only personnel move we can make to add another playmaker off the current roster is to find a way to get Rocky McIntosh on the field and see what he can do. It can't possibly be less than Holdman brings to the table, can it? |

Excellent idea!:pi_lightb I think Rocky would be great, but we all know they'll never put him in cuz they're too fucking bullheaded in general. |
Re: Chemistry can't be bought
its discouraging
they did not meet fan's expectations |
Re: Chemistry can't be bought
CHEMISTRY CANNOT BE BOUGHT. I do like Vincent, however, this move shows they are still concerned and willing to pay any amount of money to get this team on track but unless that money is being sent to the league to payoff teams, refs money cannot change the fact that these guys don't mesh and don't produce on the field.
Its a little too late, if anything this signing shows that what we were initially told that the team is ready to play was an all out lie. The very reason I state that this constant change is horrible is that the team has added about 6 -8 players since training camp and is still looking for help. To have this record 2-4, be so deep in cap signings, not building through the draft, to constantly have old out dated veterans and be the laughing stock of the nation is a 15 year long tradition that is now expected from the Redskins. |
