Fox: Bucs trade McFarland to Colts

Didn't see this posted, but the Colts traded for DT McFarland from the Bucs for a 2nd round pick. Helps their run defense, no doubt. And Dungy coached him as a rook in TB. Dang.

Re: Fox: Bucs trade McFarland to Colts

Depsite Indy having a porous run defense, we will not be able to run on them. Heck, the titans had a crappy run defense, and all we could muster was 125 yds rushing, with a third of those coming on gadget plays. If we go down 0-14 in the first quarter, thats it - there's no handing it off to Portis and there's no coming back. The team is playing without any intensity.

I'm shocked Snyder didn't offer a first rounder for him.

Do you think he's gonna play against us this Sunday? If so, our prospects of winning the game just got a lot shorter.

No way he's ready to play much this Sunday.

Besides, I think we've got bigger things to worry about than McFarland.

They've just signed him, you can't expect him to plug in and go.

Run at him all day.

any if your pom-poms are shiny enough, we just might be able to ignore the foul stench of the turd that's been laid upon us :P

we're are what we are. we let our defensive depth and chemistry slip away for shiny (broken) toys. injuries to springs and prioleau didn't help either though :/. booger is still good. i don't know how ready he'll be in a week, but they need him in there to help peyton with stress relief. the colts D ends and LBs are fast, so i doubt we'll be able to screen them to death (see the giants game), and if they can get solid inside, they could take a huge step up in run D.
