Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
Did you notice all the cheap shots the Indy defensive backs were taking on the Redskin wide receivers, especially on Santana Moss? Moss got flagged for Unsportsmanlike Conduct for retaliating on an obvious late hit by a defensive back. How come the referees didn't warn the defensive back for late hits. Later in the game, he did it again. It seemed like the announcing crew keep talking about Moss but what about the late hits? Is that a tactic to slow Moss down, hit him late?

Re: Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
The hits were late and unnecessary but you can't lose your cool. You get your hits in when no one is watching and you always have teammates to lean on to do the dirty work for you.

Re: Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
Moss was dumb to retaliate, but those Colts were definately taking cheap shots.

So what would you call the hit on Payton ?? Bet you Danials gets fined? |
Re: Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
the hit on manning was cheap? it was late? wake up and smell the roses, giantone. manning looked like a little sis on that play. pitching the ball forward to avoid the hit. the ball hit one of his lineman first, but no one said anything about that penalty not being called. seems as though if you are part of the manning hype machine, you have a different set of rules

Re: Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
I would be absolutely stunned, as in bet a month's salary that it happens stunned, if Daniels is not fined. Come on, it's a Manning and it's the NFL, put two and two together. That being said, I wonder WTF the refs were watching in not calling the cheap shot on Moss that precipitated his retaliation, and what they were thinking initially calling Harrison's "catch" a catch right before the half. The official was right there, and Harrison was clearly out of bounds.

I couldn't believe that one. That ref should be fired today for missing a call that badly. Luckily we have replay for crap like that because that sort of thing in inexcusable. |

Re: Cheap Shots on Santana Moss!
The cheap shots worked; the Colts' defenders got inside Moss' head and took him out of the game. I know Santana went to "The U" and feels some god-given right to thuggery, but he looked like a total fool running after the defender after the play to spear him. A true Gibbs "character" player would not have reacted the way Moss did. I was surprised because Santana didn't seem like that kind of player.

Bet you Danials gets fined?[/quote] The hit on Payton Manning was a legal hit. A nice well-timed one-two punch on the quarterback. Just because it was Payton Manning, the media acts like you can't hit a star player hard. It was a legal hit, not late, not flagrant. He got jacked-up! The make-up call, when Washington was engaged in a block and hit the quarterback was a horrible call. |

Yes, the ref was right there and would have thrown a flag if it were an illegal hit. It was a clean hit - clean but ugly. And unfortunately, it fired up Manning, who torched us the rest of the game. |
