very sad. R.I.P. adds more onto a terrible year for the university

does anyone know if he was a big time prospect?

There is a big difference between being drug related or tied to an on field brawl. It is probably best not to speculate on this horrible event.

i can speculate all i want thank you very much

it's so strange how he was walking off the field after practice and was killed.

only 8 miles down the road from one another.

holy s***. that's too bad :(.

only a few months short of earning an NFL paycheck too. hopefully his family didn't need the money and they find the guy responsible.

5-6th rounder, but that can change over the next 6 months (always does). a bit slow for the NFL, but could've stayed around as a backup if nothing else. miami players generally have good work habits entering the league.

"Several Miami players, including Pata, said that incident was a robbery attempt and cautioned other teammates to always be aware of their surroundings."

speculate if you want... but I find no evidence to suggest any drug involvement.

This is really a horrible story. People are saying miami might not play on saturday against Maryland. The game is scheduled to be at Maryland and miami is considering forfeitting.
