According to ESPN's Chris Mortensen, Chicago is not interested in the proposed trade involving Briggs and the Redskins 1st rounder. All worked up over nutin.

How about the now fact that the offer was ever made. I know some folks here are very upset that the Redskins wanted this trade. While I am not upset about it, I have to agree that the trade would not been great for the Redskins.
This Redskins front office should consider not making trades. They seem not to end up on the losing end of the trades.

The story wasn't BS. The offer was made by the Redskins. It was confirmed on ESPN by Drew R. and Mort.

The Bears must think they can get a better deal. I am not sure why they would reject this deal. They would be stupid to take a $7M cap hit this year for Briggs.
There must be another team ready to offer more

i think that trading for briggs would be great.there is a good chance there will be some great defensive players left at the end of round 1.
