Re: Jacoby EQT jersey
Any tips for determining what the real, and what is a fake?
Any basic criteria for identifying what a jersey REALLY is? |

EQT jerseys give a general appearance of having tackle twill (sewn on) lettering and numbering but it is single ply (the real stuff is double) and much thinner than the "on-field" (which actually isn't even what they wear on the field but is closer, i.e. the $289.99 retail jerseys). As I general rule I would say don't buy from eBay (I sound like a broken record here) but instead go through a reputable dealer. 98% of people on eBay selling jerseys (and probably 99.8% of the high volume dealers) are not selling the "real deal" (i.e. they are selling some form of counterfeit product, some of which are actually pretty decent but which are still inferior to the stuff actually made by Reebok). You can get any player you want if you custom order from Reebok or a reputable Reebok dealer for $250-$280 and that is the "real deal". There is one guy on eBay who deals in real Mitchell and Ness stuff but I have never found anyone else who is actually selling REAL officially licensed jerseys. |
Re: Jacoby EQT jersey
It's a pretty good looking jersey, regaurdless of the price. The Authentic jersey's are double twill, however I think the Authentic Replica's are only single. For example, the ST jersey I want is 120.00, and it's got the stitched numbers etc, however the authentic one is 240-260. I doubt that a throwback, regaurdless of the twill will run more than 120. But, if you know what your getting, and you like it, why not? Save a little,

BTW the EQTs retail at around $70-80 so this is a high price even for that.
EQT's from NFL.com run around $100-$110, but the throwback ones are $125. NFL Shop - Men's: Jerseys: Premier: Search for Page 2 of 2. |

Thanx SC fan!
I know little about this stuff. However before the Tampa Bay game I am going to pick up a new jersey for both my son and myself |
