Rocky McIntosh
Well now our speculations about LBs re about to end.. It turns out Rocky will start for 2008 season :)
McIntosh Has Successful Surgery However this post kinda made me to be concern because there are several players who will have surgery.. Is this normal or? |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
Yeah there are always a handful of guys that have surgery after the season. It's pretty normal.
Most of them are just scopes, no big deal. |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
Most likely, it's quick "scopes" to clean out the specified area. Shouldn't be a cause for harm unless they go in and see more damage than first thought.
EDIT: What was I thinking, trying to out maneuver the Ego? |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
I don't know if that is normal, but at least these players are not all that vital. Griffin is the only starter on that list. Blades is a up and coming young player, but with McIntosh healthy he wont be needed immediately. Will Yoder even be back next season? Alexander is valuable for his versatility, but he is hardly a starter, and neither is Vernon Fox.
Last year we had starting lineman coming off of surgery, and I think CP had surgery as well didn't he? This could be alot worse. It seems that despite our rash of injuries this season, we'll be going into next year relatively unscathed. Well, we'll see. We still have to see how Campbell, Rogers, and our lineman progress through their rehab, but from all indications we'll be fairly healthy. |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
If that's true, that's big. I thought his injury was more serious than that, and putting the 2008 season in..............peril.
Maybe I was thinking of someone else? |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
He had a torn ACL and MCL. He may be able to practice come training camp but those injuries normally take quite a while to fully recover from.

I HIGHLY doubt that Rocky will be full-go come September. Even if he hits the field, it can take about 18 months to recover from an ACL. I'd be nothing short of shocked if we don't get someone to fill in for him for half the season. |

I originally heard that recovery will be similar to what Donovan McNabb went through in that while he may be able to play, he really wont be back to "normal" for over a year. I also heard this about Carlos Rodgers. |
Re: Rocky McIntosh
The news sounds encouarging about Rocky, but I have my doubts that he will be fully healthy by the start of the regular season.

Re: Rocky McIntosh
now that really give the FO a reason to sign Lance Briggs
|
Re: Rocky McIntosh
I like Rocky, but I think he will have a pretty short career. He had injury red flags in the draft with the big concern being about his knees. Well what do you know he blew out his knee in his first season as a starter. That's a bad sign. Hope he comes back strong, but I have my doubts.
