Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Seems somewhat steep for a 4th but whatever.

I agree |
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
More former Cowboys for Parcells. Neither is likely to have much of an impact I don't think.
I'll always think of Ayodele as the "We Must Protect This House" Guy |
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Ayodele was a pretty good when he was a Jaguar but I think he is just a system LB

Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
somethin is up here, makes me think there is some other agreement on a draft day trade.
I can understand them getting rid of the LB, but Fasano is really good & I believe they picked him in the 2nd round. Maybe the dolphins would only take AA if they got Fasano as well & the boys wanted to rid the contract, or maybe fasano's shoulder is really that bad? just seems too much, as noted above, for a 4th round pick. Maybe the tuna is revealing all of JJ's secrets & extorting players in the process. |
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Man, they gave a lot for 4th rounder. Ayodele is solid and Fasano is up and coming, I say Miami got the better deal.
|
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
stupid for dallas unless they need to move the contracts... fasano hasn't shown much, ayodele is average but i mean, its a 4th rounder.
|
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
we cant really say who got the better deal until we know who they take with that 4th rounder
|
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
I think Fasano is pretty good hes just stuck behind witten so he doesnt get to play much
|
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
I still think Dallas wants to make a splash on draft day. They might of wanted this 1st pick in the 4th round as more ammo to move up.Or ammo for a big time wr like Chad Johnson or Roy Williams .I don't see them giving up 2 solid backups, just to draft 1 potentially solid backup.

Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Does Dallas want to move up? They are probl gonna do a trade as said above.
|
Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Unless they are planning to trade that fourth rounder for Randy Moss, I don't see how this is a good deal for Dallas.

Re: Dallas Trades 2 Players 4 Dolphins 4th Rounder
Dallas traded one player that was probably not going to be on the roster in September (Ayodele), and traded a guy who has a better chance of being a starter in Miami because Jason Witten is solidly entrenched there.
Cowboys traded their 4th rounder (126 overall) to the Titans on the Pacman deal. Now they managed to get back into the 4th round and move up 27 spots and now have the 100th pick in the 4th round. Which happens to be the first pick of the 4th. And people can speculate all they want about "a high price for a 4th rounder." Well what matters is the pick, and Dallas moved back into the top 100 picks with this trade. And if we really want to get technical about it, since the Patriots for forfeited their first rounder due to "Spygate", this is really the 99th pick of the draft. And the 99th pick of the draft is technically a 3rd round pick. IT is the last pick of the 3rd. And, must add that history has shown that Dallas has done very well with 4th rounders. Marion Barber and Chris Canty are both former 4th round picks. |

Not a great trade for the 'Boys if Witten gets hurt or if that pick doesn't pan out. |
