Looks like the 360 is about to take another big step ahead of Sony.
Netflix Jumps In With Entertainment for Everyone
The exclusive partnership offers Netflix subscribers the ability to instantly stream movies and TV episodes from Netflix to the television via the Xbox 360 video game and entertainment system. Xbox 360 will be the only game console to offer this movie-watching experience, available to Xbox LIVE Gold members who are also Netflix subscribers at no additional cost.
Dayum! I got to become a Netflix member now! |
Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
Well I watch /stream the movies on Netflix and they are nothing special. Mostly old movies but still it is cool to have.

Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
If you go on Xbox live in Marketplace they have a whole bunch of stuff on it. It left me with the impersion that they will be selling the $60 games through downloads as well. That would be crazy and I would need a lot more memory.
If you think about it, it makes a lot of sense. Less overhead and less wear and tear on the 360. I belive most of the heating problems (or promblems in general) come from playing disk. If this occurs the Gamespots or EB's of the world will be in for some serious change or closure. |

Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
well, this is how they wanted it to be, and it seems to be working out slowly but surely...
1tb HDs are down from the original 999$ price tag to as low as 150$ now (internal HD, oem), eventually they'll be cheap enough to just expect people to have them, and at that point downloading games at 40$ vs 50$ in stores would be cheaper. |

Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
Massive hard drives are getting cheaper and cheaper. Where once it was $1000 for 1 terabyte (1000 GB) of space, you can now get that space for about 1/7 the price. Eventually, it'll be cheaper and easier to download games, rather than go to your local store and buy the disk version.

Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
Ok that is what I figured. I meand you could just simply slap on a new hard drive fairly easy on the 360.
If xbox can figure away to keep your machine up to date longer then normal this would be a huge win for them. I feel like Sony is sinking more and more every day. |
Re: Xbox 360 big stuff in the works
I just barely "upgraded" from a PS2 to a Nintendo Wii, this stuff is beyond my comprehension. I just don't have the time to be a hardcore gamer. One of the reasons I got the Wii is because I could download old games...so I downloaded Punch out, Pac Man, Tecmo Bowl, blades of steel and Double dribble.
