Advice on massage chairs?

Does anyone have any advice on a massage chair. As some of you know, I have a very bad back, and I think something like a massage chair will help. I'm looking at this: (the ijoy320)
Private Masseuse iJoy 320 and iJoy 300 Robotic Massage Chair by Interactive Health Products - NEW and Factory Refurbished Chairs are IN STOCK!

Does anyone have a massage chair? Pros / cons? I don't know anything about massage chairs either...is the ijoy 320 even a good chair?

Also, can you get your insurance to cover any of the cost of a chair? I have to go to Lubbock in a week for a surgery consult on my back...I'm going to ask him several questions, but if I know I can get the insurance to cover some of it, that would be SWEET!

Any suggestions?

i have a 1600 dollar sunpentown massage chair thats 2 yrs old. I hate it. It's way too rough. I'm actually actively trying to trade it on craigslist right now because I never use it.

Maybe the iJoy will be better, but i wouldn't recommend sunpentown. I've talked to other people that have owned them and say the same thing...

I also have a bad back and I wouldn't go with a massage chair to fix it. Rather, I purchased a one year membership at Massage Envy.. and I get a full 1 hour message a month for only $59. Everyone I refer, I get another massage free. Yes, tell them I sent you for your first time and you'll get a full hour for $39 (becuase I'm a member). PM for details!

Does your ins cover massage therapy? It is available in many doc's office as a prescription item with specifically detailed treatment. Some people have very good success with a program of massage, and other physical training.................BUT not everyone.
Surgery is such a crap-shoot

Why does the iJoy sound like it should have Knead, Roll, and Happy Ending settings?

I have never thought of that. I feel like such an idiot considering I get a massage at least once a month. (2 hours for $75)
When I go to the Doctor this weekend, I will ask about that too. Good suggestion...thanks.

Glad you told me...an aquaintance told me to try those chairs, or at least look into them.
