it's not dumb. I'm pretty sure he's missed at least one field goal a game in his last five or six outings.

It's a safe bet since he has the worst accuracy rate this season amongst kickes who have been active in all 12 games.

Suisham has hit 72% this year giving him 35th of any kicker who has attempted a FG this year and worst among any kicker still employed.
Though, in his defense, Durant sucked as a holder and Plack is no better. Little things matter for a kicker. Ask Joe Theisman how important being a holder is.
But yeah, he'll miss one today (probably in the first quarter).

I like your optimism Matty. And actually, that's not much of a limb. He went 4-4 in the first game against Dallas, a game the Skins only won by 2 points. He also went 3-3 against Philly (won by 6) and 4-5 against Detroit (won by 8).

Long and short of it is, Suisham has won games for the Skins this year, but has not lost any for us.

Is he below average? Yes, and I would like the Skins to try to find a better replacement this off-season, but signing just anyone would be a bad idea.

Look, the fact is he has missed only one field goal under 40 yards this year (against New Orleans and I believe it was blocked), and when your field goal kicker is a lock under 40, it's not time to sound the alarm. He might, statistically be the worst kicker in the league to have kicked in all 12 games this season, but he has kicked well enough to keep his job.

All I'm saying is, for those who want to run Suisham out of town, be careful what you wish for.
