This is probably the worst game for him to miss. Was this gibbs decision or was it mandated by the league

It was Gibbs.... |
This decision will help both Sean and the Redskins in the long run. It sends a message that if you want to play for the Redskins, you better have your sh!t together, or suffer the consequences! Yeah, it is bad timing (like there is a good timing for this), but the way the D has been playing with a lot of starters already missing, they will be fine.
Kinda makes you wonder what would be happening if Spurrier was still the coach.... |

The earings he is wearing are disturbing. I don't think he gets it yet (what being a "true" Redskin is all about). |
Good for Gibb's, I have to say I was this kid's biggest supporter from day 1, but character is another issue and he is really pushing his luck.
|
Those earings...well what can you say? I hope he was drunk wearing those things!!
And before anybody freaks, I'm just kidding. |
My question is how likely is he to do any time? The league will almost certainly fine and suspend him (1 game I'd guess - does sitting this one out count?), but if he's smart and doesn't contest the charges, is he likely to just face a fine or do a deal like Lewis did and serve time in the post season?
|
He'll do community service and a fine while pleading to a lesser offense. They probably won't even take his license or give him a year in jail.
|
1st offense, with a laywer, very very unlikely to get jail time... probably a big fine and some counseling/probation...
|
I approve of Gibbs' decision. Sean Tayler needs to get his act together. Fuckin' rookie.
|
Seeing the thread subject line I thought this was a new QB and WR combination
:laughing- |
I'm behind Joe all the way on this one. Rookie or not, Joe does expect a lot more out of his players than many other coaches in the NFL and that's what makes him such a special and respected coach. I applaud Gibbs decision to stand by the fact that you're a Redskin both on and off the field and you are expected to maintain a certain level of personal conduct.
