supposedly he spit on tj housmansomethin the reciever for the bengals and tj said it was not about the physical contact he is just a punk

Taylor has a chip on his shoulder and plays mean. I think this type of crap happens all the time.

After that hit on Rudi Johnson, I don't care if he gave housmacares a wedgie.

Winskins 11-15-2004 10:13 PM

Taylor is settling in at least his problems aren't off the field this time. Sorry Houskaluggee

djnemo65 11-15-2004 10:24 PM

was it jack ham who used to chew on people's legs in the pile after the play. I like Taylor's meanstreak and blue-collar toughness. I can't wait to see him get a clean shot at TO.

cpayne5 11-15-2004 10:30 PM

Haha, this is kinda funny. I guess TJ Hockaloogie was never a center.

SUNRA 11-15-2004 10:34 PM

To hell with that, what about the hit on Rudi Johnson by Ryan Clark. Johnson was a yard from the first down line and Ryan hit him so hard he started running parallel to the first down line. Then they gang tackled him for a loss. That was ridiculous.

jdlea 11-15-2004 11:14 PM

I really respect Ryan Clark too. I think that kid should supplant wack ass Matt Bowen as the starter. He seems to fly around the ball pretty well and he at least seems like he can cover.

Daseal 11-15-2004 11:23 PM

I think our secondary is VERY good right now.

redwagonskins 11-16-2004 01:26 AM

I'm not a big fan of taunting or excessive celebration but this is kind of funny!
"Unnamed" Bengals WR: "Coach someone spit on me!!!"
Old School type Coach (like Ditka): "So, spit back!"
New School Coach Lewis: "Hopefully the league will do something about this" (some kind of spit cam or spit judge)
I hope Taylor has a mean streak a mile wide and gets a rep like Lott. Guys like that give receivers alligator arms.

offiss 11-16-2004 01:31 AM

Taylor is a monster period! If this kid stay's healthy will go down as 1 of the all time great's, if not THE greatest of all time, I alway's felt that Lott was second to none, but this kid has a chance to be better and I know that's saying a lot but I really believe he's that good!

CROOKEDSKINS 11-16-2004 01:47 AM

Time out folks. Go look at the replay of some of the Chad Johnson catches from Sunday. If you look away from the ball, you'll see #36 arriving too late to make a play. Go back and look at other game films and you'll see a pattern here. He is in the right place but not quite at the right time fairly frequently.

The difference between Taylor and Roy Williams (Dallas) or Brain Daekins (Philly) or Gibril Wilson (Giants) is that they often get to their double coverage assignments in time to prevent a completion. They too make big hits so they fill two roles. So far, Taylor has a couple of highlight hits on his resume and not much more.

If Taylor does this or does that he will beocoem the #1 safety of all time. Sounds good but that statement falls into the same category as:

"If Queen Elizabeth had balls she'd be King Elizabeth."

Not really, reason? Taylor has a real shot at accomplishing his goal.

let's not forget his 2 INT's and all this in a very limited role, I really have no doubt's that he will be 1 of the best if not the best of all time, it's only a matter of time.

Daseal 11-16-2004 07:03 AM

Sports: You don't think that practice in game-time situations has anything to do with his timing? We're saying he's showing amazing potential. He's 1 step behind right now. He'll catch up soon!

MTK 11-16-2004 08:34 AM

Considering Taylor is a rookie playing a difficult position for a young guy, I'd say he's doing a nice job. He certainly hasn't been a major liability.
