Why do so many teams end up with wide open receivers, but we don't?
Some guys make it look like college, literally wide open by 10 yards waiting for the pass, nothing else to do.
It seems that we rarely if EVER see this. Why? |
Re: Why do so many teams end up with wide open receivers, but we don't?
Government conspiracy??? But seriously you'll be suprised what Pure Speed (DeSean Jackson, Randy Moss, Steve Smith) and superior route running (Wes Welker, Larry Fitzgerald) will do for you. Mot to mention broken coverage in some cases.
Outside of Moss we don't have that speedster who can get behind the defense consistently or that route running master that moves the chains. |

No, according to the OP our WRs are meeting up with DBs everyweekend. |

SmootSmack has his own personal ATM? Man I need perks like that. |
Re: Why do so many teams end up with wide open receivers, but we don't?
Because Campbell still sucks. He sucks so bad our receivers still can't get open even with him gone

I believe it's a known fact that Stan Hixon has so totally brainwashed every Skins receiver for the last decade (yes even before and after he was our coach) into believing that the goal of a receiver is to cover the CB. Thus our WR's think they are excelling by the lack of separation they get. Further he often (as I understand it) would have Carlos come to the WR meetings to teach the proper techniques for catching a ball with your hands. |
Re: Why do so many teams end up with wide open receivers, but we don't?
Moss and Cooley were "wide open" several times on Sunday night. Receivers in this league aren't open by 10 yards on any sort of regular basis in this league.
