I hate partisan politics. It's not a game, stop rooting for one side vs the other.

Rooting? I don't care either way...I simply hate frauds and the exposition of it is quite satisfying. Talk is cheap, delivering the goods is hard. |

Talk is cheap, delivering the goods is hard.
Seems like the democrats were giving the GOP a taste of its own medicine with this tactic. In other words, they're both guilty of the same damn douchy thing. |

Your answer to what happened is that they are both douchy? You don't want to discuss the fact that all the GOP has been talking about the last few months is cutting this cutting that, shutting down the government and when given the chance to pass Ryan's/RSC cuts they whimpered? You can do better than they are both the same. I am not interested who did what and who is doing the same thing now. All I want is for them to do is talk less, do more. |

Re: Paul Ryan's Budget Vote
I'll show you politics in America. Here it is, right here. "I think the puppet on the right shares my beliefs." "I think the puppet on the left is more to my liking." "Hey, wait a minute, there's one guy holding out both puppets!" "Shut up! Go back to bed, America. Your government is in control." - Bill Hicks, RIP

Heard about this from a co-worker.

Re: Paul Ryan's Budget Vote
What would politics be without a little hypocrisy?

Re: Paul Ryan's Budget Vote
And what would politics be without people distorting the truth from someone’s actual plan. Classic spin.
Paul Ryan doesnt want to take away the safety net that Social Security was meant to be. He wants to offer the option to privatize a small portion of it and make the plan permanently solvent by modernizing the retirement age for people under 55. I havent heard of anything with regards to taking away a person’s, let alone a child’s, survivorship benefit?????? Even if he did want to change the survivorship benefit (which he doesn’t) how would doing something as a minor be hypocrisy to your beliefs and ideals as grownup with formalized ideas and opinions? That’s pretty hateful to suggest that a boy accepting the death benefit his father paid for somehow represents a hypocrite 25 years later because they want to restore SS to what it was meant to be used for.
