i have mixed feeling's about him i loved him in college but i hate that he keeps retireing when it gets tough

NY_Skinsfan 01-26-2005 03:51 AM

don't know much about him...but it looks to me like he peaked too soon...

Daseal 01-26-2005 08:15 AM

You know what - the Chiefs defense couldn't get any worse, so they're trying to find someone, anyone, to help it out. Looks like he came fairly cheap.

MTK 01-26-2005 08:43 AM

Will this guy make up his mind already or what! What a joke.

sportscurmudgeon 01-26-2005 10:53 AM

Daseal:

You got it right. He costs the Chiefs nothing; he is obviously a good athlete; the Chiefs' defense is awful and needs help wherever it can find it. So they give him a shot and if it doesn't work out they cut him and move on.

Is he likely to be the defensive rookie of the year next year? He has the same chance at that as Ashlee Simpson has of singing Aida for the Metropolitan Opera Company...

MTK 01-26-2005 11:06 AM

The Chiefs must be really, really desperate.

TheMalcolmConnection 01-26-2005 11:36 AM

Trying to make it as safety?! HA!

MTK 01-26-2005 11:38 AM

I know this might sound crazy but I'm predicting he'll retire sometime in training camp.

TheMalcolmConnection 01-26-2005 11:50 AM

Doesn't sound crazy at all.

sportscurmudgeon 01-26-2005 12:57 PM

Matty:

He probably will not make it as a safety and he may retire during training camp yet one more time, but so what? The Chiefs defense is horrible and they have finally figured out that it isn't the defensive coordinator that makes it horrible it is the players. So, they are bringing in some new meat to see if they can upgrade the talent there.

Will this move work out? Probably not. But it's a start...

This move is no worse than signing Mark Carrier at the end of his career. Neither move will prove to be critical to truning around a pretty miserable unit.

This guy is a joke. He doesnt belong in the NFL. Everytime a team wont play him he cries like a little baby and quits. So I say leave him be. Damn Miami might be able to use him or even Oakland. But oh well.

Has anyone welcomed you to the board yet? If not, Welcome!

rdsknfn2003 01-26-2005 02:49 PM

nope nobody has yet. and thank you

MTK 01-26-2005 04:03 PM

At least Carrier was a proven player, Couch can't even decide if he wants to play or not.

We all know the Chiefs D is hurting, but if you're turning to someone like Couch for anything more than a warm body in practice you're in trouble.
