Don't ask for sources, I don't remember and its not important. I was just wondering what anyone (or everyone) here thinks of the new rumor floating around that the Skins might trade up to number 1 in order to get Alex Smith. IF Gibbs really does dislike Ramsey that much, I could possibly see SF taking our two 1st rounders and Ramsey for the 1. And, while I hate the idea that we are rebuilding, you have to admit that Smith does look good and that he can run well for a quarterback.

I see Gibbs going for the Bowl this year and is stacking the deck.

i can't see gibbs moving up and trading3 players for one pick,and i can't see the 49ers

giving up all that for a qb(ramsey)that has shown the only thing he can do is lose close games and throw ints.

Mike and Mike were talking about this with Mel Kiper this morning. They basically said that the sense around Redskins park (to save Cerrato's job) is that they need to win this year. They said Gibbs likes experienced QBs and that if they draft a QB, it would not fit into this year's plans; basically whoever it is would be the QB for the next regime.

Either way I am still pissed off. This non stop bi-polar front office wont end until Danny sells the team, dies, or actually steps back and lets football people run his football team. He can continue to run the business but let people in the know do what they do best.

Actually our best drafts were in 80 and 81 under Bobby Beathard.....who by the way Snyder offered the GM job to, but Beathard turned it down......and decided to go with a consultant job with the Falcons....

Snyder just wishes it was the 80's and he was the owner. He needs to realize that there are new coaches and scouts out there that are just as capable.

Beathard realizes its hard to go home again.
