NFL Free Agents Signings
Ndamukong Suh to sign 6-year, $114 million deal with Miami Dolphins - ESPN
Bout what I expected, afc east a lot of early movement. Should be a fun division to watch. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
Great move by miami he's a monster. Yeah he's dirty but u can't hold him 1 on 1. Miami got much better today.
Oh and good deal opening this new fresh thread. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
If I were a Gm, the only way I would sign Suh is if I thought my team was real close to a deep run. I don't know if Miami is that close.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
There is no way in fuck I would pay one DL QB type money. I suppose they can do that since they don't have a QB to pay QB type money.
|
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
Yeah they don't really have an expensive player and they know they will have to play great d to win since that offense is very average. I like the move hell I wanted suh he's a great player but I'm glad we didn't go get him for this money. We need so many parts as it is

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
I would only pay Franchise QB money to a Franchise QB.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
Suh is a great player but that's crazy money.

Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
Im not sure how the Dolphins are going to sign Suh with their cap situation. They have a little over 2 mil in cap space now based on the numbers at Overthecap.com.
Total Cap Number: $145,016,177 (Top 51: $142,840,511) Thats what they list prior to the signing. And thats based on the rule of 51. Once the season starts, they will have to account for 53 players, the practice squad, and any injured reserve players. They are going to have to do some serious cutting and/or restructuring to make this work. If they plan on signing Tannehill next year, thats going to take a good amount more money to fit in next year. |

Squeeze it to the limit for the big name(s) and have no depth at all. You can always get under the salary cap - we got a 16M cap hit 2 years in a row and never went over, but you simply give up flexibility and depth. |

I thought it was 18 mil for 2 years in cap penalties that we had gotten. Even so, when we got our cap penalties, we had a lot of space cleared from Halls and Haynesworths contracts, which brought on the penalties in the first place. They have no space cleared and are going to have to create it. I agree that this is a Snyderatto type move. Although I dont think Suh will tank it once he gets the money like Haynesworth did so they will probably get production out of the signing, unlike what we got from all our fantasy football signings of Cerrato. |

IMO The Fins owner Ross strongly resembles Snyder circa 2001: he doesn't understand that you can't just buy a championship. He also resembles Snyder circa 2015: he can't leave football to the football people. |
Re: NFL Free Agents Signings
Sidenote, I always wish tony Montana would have escaped in scarface and in scarface 2 would have acquired ownership of the Dolphins in a strong arm deal. That would have made for the best sports movie all time
