Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
Well now that it's over let's look at the future. Tough loss but we weren't going to the SB anyway.
Overall very pleased with the team and Scot M. Guy knows football and knows how to build a winner. Kirk cousins is the real deal and will be paid well. He deserves it after this season, he carried the offense the whole yr. Run game was weak all yr for the most part. Keep building the oline and defense and we are fine. We have playmakers on offense and we r only going to get better. Aaron rodgers didn't win his 1st playoff game either js. Overall httr and good season |
Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
Start by signing our own we want to keep, go heavy on D in the draft, dip into free agency. Would love to see Alex Mack despite what most here say.

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
First order of business, get Kirk signed. I'm guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of 5 years $80M.

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
Yes kirk is priority 1, 5 years Is about right. He's 27 and will have 8 to 10 good Years in him imo. SF mack is good but he may cost more than what we are willing to pay we'll see. I agree though get more defense and oline. Williams and moses are really good well trent is damn near great so now just get the inside locked up.

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
We'll have Junior Gallette back + 7 picks and whoever SM finds in free agency. This team will have a lot more talent next season. Can't wait.

Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
I hope Breeland and Dunbar become our CBs of the future. I hope we can solidify our ILBs. And we need to get the running game going.

Son!! Thank you for a great season!! We will take care of you and come back next year and kick ass!! |
Re: Better days ahead. (Off season part 1 thread)
I wouldn't sign Cousins to any extended contract
Sign him to a one year contract, no more than 10 million, with the option to pickup an extended contract if he pans out. He was okay this season, not fantastic, he didn't lead us to any wins over teams with a winning record, all of our wins came off of teams with 8-8 or worse records. He may be a good QB, or he may turn out to be another dud, don't pin too much hopes on him just yet. |

Need to get junior gallete back in the fold. Offense, we should look at improvements at center and a running back. Drafting a WR and TE would be prudent. Adding a young qb would be smart. Cousins contract won't take long...not worried. I look around at the mess and volatility in the nfc east and I see promise if we continue to grow. |

Why don't we sign RGIII to a lifetime contract for hundreds of millions!! C'mon man!! |

I never said sign RG3 to any long term contract, nor am I saying QB's grow on trees All I'm saying is sign him to one year contract, with an option for a longer pickup if he does well next season, this way we don't tie ourselves to yet another QB that may fizzle out (take a look at our QB position over the last few decades, it's been a continuous cycle of expensive failures) |

Cousins isn't going to take a bullshit offer. That's not how any of this works.

Then we move on to a new QB, maybe draft one in the offseason or pickup someone in free agency (or both). Cousins isn't so good that we need to worry about losing him. Besides 1 year at 10 mil is a great deal |
