Re: Sean Taylor

I don't know how long his NFL career would've been, but it would have been a Hall of Fame career, that much I know.

I'm sure his death had some influence on Gibbs retiring sooner than expected, although I know Gibbs cited his family as a reason.

Can't believe it's been 10 years already. Been watching his special on A Football Life and this short video ESPN made about the influence he's had on modern players, highly recommend watching for anybody who hasn't seen them.

Damn. Ten years.

It's really flown by. I was such a young warpather in those days. Now I'm mainly a curmudgeony lurker. Here is a picture I took from the Buffalo game where we started 10

10 years later, it still makes me ill - and sad for his family. So senseless.

Can't believe it's been 10 years. Many lives were ruined over some senseless bs.

Yup. Especially when his main goal was to use football to reunite his family and take care of them. Way too many lives wasted over this nonsense.

As a Miami graduate and lifelong Skins fan this was just plain shitty.
That Buffalo game was so sad. I still watch the video i took every once in a while. RIP 21.

A football life segment was pretty good.

Re: Sean Taylor

It is a tribute to Sean that so many great safeties today hold him as the inspiration and measuring stick for their own games. Kam Chancellor, Landon Collins, and our own DJ Swearinger are his acolytes. It reminds me of how Dick Butkus inspired the next generation of middle linebackers that came of age in the 70's and 80's. Lawrence Taylor did the same for dominant outside linebacker play. Sean is that guy for safeties. Gone, but never forgotten, may he rest in peace.

Sucks to think about what could have been. He was such a baller.

I waa born and raised in Miami FL and I had the privilege of seeing Sean play for the Canes. Then he was drafted by the Redskins and I remember being excited to see him play. What an amazing player a HOF career cut short. I wear #21 to honor Sean. Hail to the victorious dead, Hail #21, and as always Hail to the Redskins.
