Around the NFL Week 16
NFC playoff picture: Everybody wins – ProFootballTalk
Can't believe we only have 2 weeks of football (skins anyway) left, the NFL season always goes by too fast. Here is the playoff picture in the NFC. Who ya got? AFC is still open too |
Re: Around the NFL Week 16
I'm rooting for the Rams and Vikings. Both would be good stories. Seattle, Philly, and Dallas are all on the naughty list.

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
Definitely rooting for the Jags in the AFC to rock the boat. In the NFC anybody but the Eagles.

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
Philly isn't going even if they get the 1 seed, I don't trust Foles in a playoff game.
I think it'll be N.O or LAR. AFC I agree I'd love to see JAX screw it all up but I'm sure it'll be NE again |
Re: Around the NFL Week 16
Good article about the Pats getting a beneficial end of game replay ruling 3 times, JUST THIS SEASON!!! I guess that receptions "surviving the ground" only apply to the other 31 teams: NFL rulings on touchdowns aided three Patriots wins this season | Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
There is no doubt that NE and DAL get the majority of close calls, in fact David Carr said the same thing yesterday.. Even with the Ref smiling , he wanted Dallas to get the 1st down. He was short

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
If that was he skins we would have turned it over on downs.

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
Jesse James clearly pulled the ball in with both hands, turned upfield, and lunged for the end zone and extended the ball AS A BALL CARRIER! If that is not a football move AFTER the catch, then there is no such thing as a receiver ever making a football move.

I dont think he had established 2 feet down though. In that situation where a receiver catches the ball in the process of falling down, he must maintain control of ball throughout the process of hitting the ground. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 16
This is the week the browns win, Bears have a top 5 pick waiting for them. No reason to win.

Re: Around the NFL Week 16
As far as the playoffs, my support turns to the Carolina Panthers. They're the home team down here. Having said that, either the Panthers, Saints, or Rams in the NFC, and Jags or Steelers in the AFC. I don't want to see another Super Bowl featuring the New England Patriots.

Id watch the Rams and the Vikings....those teams seem headed on a collision course. Oh and FUCK the Eagles. |
Re: Around the NFL Week 16
I'd like to see the Bills end their 17 yr drought but it prob wont happen. Ravens will most likely get in
|
Re: Around the NFL Week 16
How bout a Vikings Bills SB. That would be all sorts of hype!

I agreed with the overturn. At first you were looking if he was touched, and he clearly wasn't. But the ball moved when it hit the ground. Seemed like a good reverse. Too many times this year I thought they erred on the side of a no call when the video was clear. That said, It's just as hit or miss with the replay, so at this point if they were to do away with it entirely and say the call is the call, I'd be ok with that. Just train the refs better. |
