Greatest Comedians of all Time

Just some summer fun while waiting for the season.

In the broadest sense/definition of comedy who are your top 5 comedians of all time?

Re: Greatest Comedians of all Time

Ok I'm 70+ so that might explain my taste. This is no certain order.

Marx Brothers
Abbott and Costello
Flip Wilson
George Carlin
Bill Cosby
Robin Williams
Billy Crystal
Chris Rock
Richard Pryor
Bob Newhart
Carl Reiner
Mel Brooks
Moms Mabley
Gilda Radner
Carol Burnett

Re: Greatest Comedians of all Time

I'd put Mel Brooks at the top of the list myself, Gary Larson 2d, Pryor 3rd, Ben Stiller, and then Charlie Chaplin.

First I get this is all opinion and no answer is wrong. JMPO but I always thought Stiller's Parents were funnier then he was and I never liked Chaplin or that era comedian.

Well before my time but how about Lenny Bruce?!

Re: Greatest Comedians of all Time

To the above lists I’d add Milton Berle. Don Rickles too.
