Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
I was watching Comcast sports this evening, and they have reported the Mark Brunell has suffered a minor calf sprain. He is expected to play this Sunday, but how much do you guys think this injury will effect Brunell? At least it's not his hamstring!

Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
Fortunately, Brunell is offered enough protection that I'm not terribly worried about the injury.

Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
I think we have adequate depth at QB to deal with SF. seems minor anyways

Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
However, we do know how Brunell's scrambling ability gives him an extra edge. When I had heard that Brunell was injured, I got scared pretty quick! However, when Comcast came back from commerical and said it was a minor calf spring, I was like "geez please don't give me a heart attack!"

Don't freek me out like that man. I read the title and almost shit. :Flush:

Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
It sounds pretty minor
"I just tweaked my calf muscle dropping back to pass--it's something I've done before and honestly it's not that big of a deal," Brunell said. "It feels like I got kicked more than anything else. I don't anticipate it being a problem."
|
Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
I'm wondering if it was something he suffered in the KC game? If so, then I'm not worried at all. It's always those mystery injuries in practice that leaves you on pins and needles until game time.

LOL!!! Wasn't trying to scare anybody, maybe I should have put a question mark at the end of 'Brunell Injured?' |
Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
Wow....what a difference a year make. Last year we couldn't wait to get Brunell out of the game. Now, we are praying he plays. :)

Isn't it the truth? But we have to live up to our fickled-ness! ;)

Ha! Too true. I would feel ok if Patrick had to come in, though. It is rare for a starting qb to go a whole season without the backup having to come in at some point. Let's just hope it doesn't linger. |
Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
Maybe that'll keep him in the pocket and not laying the ball on the ground...

Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
With the way Brunell has played, at this point I would NOT feel comfortable if Ramsey had to come back in.
I just can't see Ramsey playing at the same level right now. Brunell is playing out of his mind and is on pace for a career season, at age 35! He's really got something special going, I just pray he has a chance to see it all the way through. |
Re: Comcast Reports: Brunell Injured!
Me too. I seriously think people would be pissed if Ramsey came in to be honest. Isn't he on pace for something insane like 4000 yards?
