Yep, the teams ultimately approve any changes. In some cases, the brand does the design work (see Seattle 2012) but in the end, the team must approve it and the everything must fit league uniform guidelines like number/name on back placement, required TV numbers (shoulder/sleeve digits), etc. Also, only one alternate/throwback is allowed in any 5-year period. We did our 80th uniforms last season so by league rules, we can't use any other alternate for 4 more years...but we can still use those for those 4 years if we choose to. I'd love to see the leather helmets again personally.

Speaking of throwbacks, the Jets' ugly "Titans" throwbacks should be done now, so hopefully they'll go with a 1980s Jets throwback.
