In fact, I'm really starting to wonder why Darnerian McCants was cut, who overall has clearly out-performed Jacobs in the short amount of time McCants was on the field.

Jacobs is a very good special teams player. He really does tackle well and plays aggresive.
I have to disagree with the McCants better than Jacobs comment. Jacobs is faster, sure handed, runs precise routes, and plays ST. McCants is taller.
