I've always had really good luck with using a Weed Killer that you attach to your hose and spray the lawn down with. I'll do it in the spring and it lasts almost all year.
Anyone else ever tried it? Seems so much easier than using a spreader.

I have a pump sprayer i use to spot treat weeds but ive never used one of those garden hose sprayers before. But I litteraly just picked up some very simular stuff in concentrate.
Also i will give major props to this product if you are trying to weed out bermuda or other creeping warm season grasses from your lawn or garden bed:
Amazon.com: Ornamec Grass Herbicide Quart: Patio,...
It works extremely well and wont kill your fescue grasses or other plants. It is however, expensive, but if you have a garden bed with plants you want to keep i see no other way of irradicating a creeping grass.
Also i keep these Round Up packages for my pump sprayer when i need to clear out an area to make way for something or kill weeds in mulch beds or other places:
Amazon.com: Roundup QuikPRO Non-Selective...
And most importantly whats a good weed killer without an even better surfactant?!!?!?! This is a wetting agent made for ponds and lakes so im not even sure if its street legal when you add it to your off the shelf concentrate:
Amazon.com: Airmax Eco-systems Pond Cide-kick...
Of course the best weed killer of them all:
