So, last night I had an idea.
Since these petboro people are using IPs to count votes, I thought about our good friend dial up internet. Most people have DSL or Cable these days, but unfortunately I am unserviceable by both at the moment, so I have Earthlink dial up still. Unlike Cable and DSL, every time you connect to dial up, you usually get a new IP.
So here's what I did.
I wrote a little batch file at 8pm last night that automated the voting process.
Here's the contents of the file (so simple, yet so productive):
1:
rasdial earthlink
firefox.exe petboro.com/petvote.aspx?id=385
ping -n 10 127.0.0.1
rasdial earthlink /disconnect
goto 1
So thats why little doug williams received an influx of votes between the hours of 8 and 12 while I was sleeping.
When I first started, he was down by 20 or so and when I went to bed, he was up by 130.
