Seriously, as far as I know, the D.C. Council does not have the authority to demand that the Redskins organization disassociate itself from D.C. by removing the word "Washington" from the team's name.

Dan Snyder is adamant that he will "NEVER" change the name of the team and I'm betting that he means the "Washington" part, as well.

It's obvious we will be using MLB slick tactics and be the Richmond Redskins of the DMV (aka Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim)
