Price 7 year vet.

I'm just wondering if there is a small window here??

Bledsoe 33 is sign to be the starter at least for 2 season wich at his age 33 is still a good age, some examples Trent Green is 35 and still performs at a great level, Brunnell also 35, Kerry collins will be 33 this year, Dilfer 33, Favre 36, Garcia 35, Warner 34. I'm not comparing talent just that all of this players are or could be starters in this league and are at least the same age that Bledsoe or older. He ain't the long term solution but a lot better than Testaverde and we didn't had a lot of option in free agency.

Ferguson (31)was brought to be the stuffing NT for teh 3-4 defense he still a force NYJ wanted to sign him back but could match Dallas offer he has been bangup the offseason but his back from those injuries and will play in week 1 he hasn't missed a game in the last 3 years and another comparison are Sam Adams a 12year player (32), Washington has 14 years (37). Ferguson will play if everything goes in place between 3-4 seasons.

Rivera is 33 and he is i nthe age where all Lineman are in top of his game he can play 5 more season he has been to the ProBowl the last couple of years he hasn't had major injuries untill the 1 he had the offseason but his recovered and back in the starting lineup he was brought not only for hsi playmaking abilities but to be a leader in the locker room and in the offense wich has lacking that.

Price is only 29 and he sign or will sign today a 1 year deal he's goign to be evaluated this season if he preformes well he will sign a longer deal he has at least 4 more years left in him.

All of this players where brought to perform and some of them are in their top of their game some at probowl level and they're borught also to be the core of a new group of developing players you can't just have rookies or players with less than 3 years of expirience in your team.

Also when you sign a FA you need to know if he will be able to perform for more then a year or the mayority of their contract Bledso sign a 4 year deal wich is really a 3 year deal, ferguson and rivera sign a 5 year contract if they play at top of their game for 3 years they where worth.

What you don't want to sign is NAME players who are at the last end of their carrer and won't help your team and also pay large amounts of signing bonus to this player because if they don't perform your cap will be hurt and you will have to drop good young players also.

That has been some of the problems Snyder has had with your team B.Smith, D.Sanders, Brunell to say some fiascos that come to mind. Those players where payed large amount of signing bonuses and didn't perform to the level they where paid.

The differense between Brunell and Bledso is tha the only cost us 4mill to bring in so if we drop him it won't hurt our cap as much as brunell will and he's your backup.

Not tryng to trash talk just explaining the difference in the signings thats all all of this are some what healthy signing if ferguson or rivera end up being bust that will hurt us next year they received a 9mill signing bonuses but this is based on the leve they have been playing the last couple of years and that they still and should perform at that leves for a few years.
