Re: Which NFC East coach has the most to prove

I voted for Kelly. He's the only one who hasn't shown what they can do on a professional level.

Shanahan PROVED last season he can still build a contender. He has taken a team who was completely destroyed by incompetence over a decade and turned them into a Super Bowl contender in 3 years. Year #4 will be a great one.

We know Coughlin can be either a world champion or a guy who loses his team in an ugly end-of-year collapse. He'll be on the chopping block in Week 6 and end up winning a Super Bowl or he'll be cruising through a great season 3/4 the way through only to miss the playoffs after his team looks like they've quit a month early. He's the ultimate Jekyl and Hyde coach but he's earned his salary.

Garrett has already proven he can't succeed as a head coach, at least in Dallas. No coach without full control and a resume like Bill Cowher could succeed in Dallas and it's still debatable whether Jerry Jones could even concede the team to a coach of that caliber. Jerry Jones will not allow his chosen boy Garrett to succeed because of his own ego. There's a reason the Cowboys have not been contenders for 17 years. They're just 1-7 in the playoffs since 1996. Even the Redskins have more than one playoff win in that span and we freely admit we've been a mess. Yet, Dallas fans still act like it's 1996 and they're defending champs, every year, no matter how bad they are. I don't know if I should laugh or feel bad they they have mental illness.
