Next year, we're going shopping big time and we're in great shape considering the penalty. Allen and Shanahan handled it the best they could have. They tried addressing the holes through the draft that we should have been signing the top FAs to. It's all they could do.

I agree. I think the FO did the best they could to counter the $36 million. I think Mara is seeing what goes around comes around, and his team deserves what is being handed to them. I feel bad for Coach John Coughlin though. You know his thoughts were with his brother and not in the game. And I respect him a great deal, but the Giants are in horrible shape. As bad as 0-3 feels right now, and as bad as the defense has performed, I do find it very hard to believe that this team won't recover and be "in it" at least until the last part of the season. We still do have a lot to look forward to with this team, it's just pretty rough right now.
