Whether the Broncos go all the way or not this year, it's hard to rally around anyone else as greatest quarterback/player ever.
Joe Montana probably has the most consensus support as the best ever, but Peyton is pulling away. Assuming that Manning isn't on the doorstep of retirement, it's not going to be close at the end. He's going to hold every passing record except interceptions, where Favre has an insurmountable lead.
