What happens next year when the brace is off, bananas.

2nd year QB, still learning, recovering from a bad injury. He is pretty good when you take that into account.

The offensive line doesn't look as good, when he is 10% slower, or whatever he is. The receivers didn't seperate well yesterday as a group. He missed some throws, made some bad throws. He is doing something Kaepernick doesn't, move through his receiver progresson. Years down the road, the injury may end up being a blessing in disguise. What if he had to deal with this 5 years from now.
