And it would matter a lot less if Mike didn't waste his first two seasons blowing up the defense and making several big mistakes at QB. But that misses the point. Talent is way down on the list of problems we face. Mike and co probably take up the top ten spots on the list and the cap penalty might be the eleventh.

The cap penalty is the difference between this team and this team with Aqib Talib instead of DeAngelo Hall or EJ Biggers (and possibly Eddie Royal instead of Moss). That's it. That's what 36 million cost us.
We couldn't afford a front-line corner. It's unfair. But that's the practical cost.
