Oh supposedly Reggie Bush was on our radar.
The point is, rumor has it (since thats all you and I know right now) we wanted more than just Talib and Eddie Royal. I think Smoot can settle this with some of his ''insider expertise.''

Here's the thing: no matter who they WANTED, the roster limits are exactly the same. For every player they could have acquired, someone else is not here. And 93% of this roster are made up of guys who Shanahan or someone else on the coaching staff has banged the table for as guys they had to have. Some are overpaid. Some are underpaid. They are all hand picked.
If Bush is here, Helu is not. If Talib is here, Hall is not. If Royal is here, Moss is not. Those are all arguably upgrades, but we're still moving through a difficult second season for RG3 and terrible gameday management w/o the cap penalty. The roster restrictions do not change because we have more cap space.
A player like Talib or Finnegan (although Finnegan has been awful this season) would make our defense better. No question about it. But we also wouldn't have had Hall's great games against Detroit or Dallas. And the other three games were either won, or didn't come down to a single play or player.
We'd be 1-4 either way, basically, although a bit of a better team.
